Good stuff!! Always an anxious time when you have to land, ditch, or bail out in enemy territory. I'll share some observations I've made while playing this game. When you're strafing and low bombing targets where there is a lot of flak, I've found it helps some to stay low after you've made your run in to the target. As you pass over, juke and jink while staying low until you've put some distance between you and the flak batteries. It seems to make you a more difficult target for them to hit. I like to put at least a half a kilometer between us before I start to climb back out for the next run. More is better.

That is a good tactic I see the pacific guys doing it as ship board AAA gun mounts are usually higher up and cannot travers downward. Flying in I felt like i was at Schwinefurt.

Fantastic episode, God I love the P47 Thunderbolt, my fav is of course the P51D Mustang, but the P47 is on the top 5 of my fav fighters. Had tons of fun with these in 1946, GB and even on rare occasions these days.. CFS3.. Battle for Europe. Your level bombing is ace, I'm still doing the roll over and dive tactic like the dive bombers, I have attempted more shallow dive attacks on level angles like you do, and it's not perfect but it's getting there, but I think with me it's a habit that makes me go with dive bombing tactics.. yeah.. 😅 guilty.. can't get out of the habit that easily, but it never fails me so.. I suppose that's the main thing. Fantastic air and ground kills claimed, you really let the enemy have it on this one. That 2nd kill when you blew off that enemy aircraft's wing and tail was epic, just like something from the second world war in the flesh. You have far better stomach and skill than me to land on uneven terrain with your gear in an emergency situation, if ever I end up in that situation I always go with belly landings. Your a true master with 1946 my friend, a true master. Another great episode, keep it up and well done mate 👏 👍

The P47 never disapoints me in that in can ground attack and go air to air in the same mission. For a better hit accuracy I drop all 3 at the same target one at a time so the hit probability goes up. Thanks for watching as always.

Again, the Reshade effect you're using is making shadows and darker areas tend toward black. The cockpit interior looked like it was coated with coal dust. ;) This includes the water, which for a look down angle exceeding about -45 degrees quickly gets mighty dark. Which Reshade effect(s) are in use here?

I use curves lumasharpen tecnecolor2 levels and vibrance they do make the pit look dark. I will have to take a look at them to see I can make some changes.

I've been trying to complete a very similar P-47 mission and flak has killed me every time.

I got whacked the first time by AAA black screen, at first I thought I have a computer malfuction. till I hit the F2 Key. 2nd run AAA blew my right wing in half. I stuck with it though, just getting hits in the fuel tanks was a big improvemnt. I like the challenge at times.
