@@marcusstanley96it might take a while, and its gonna require a long term strategy with the understanding that there will be massive short term losses, but the PFL is gonna have a shot at being a legitimate competitor. BTW I truly can't understand how regular, working class people (I don't necessarily mean you, I don't know how rich you are/aren't), can spew that "then don't sign up then" line everytime fighter pay is mentioned. The UFC has fucked fighters over forever. Lol they make BILLIONS, yet the bonus has been $50knfor damn near 20 years. The Reebok and Venum deals have meant significantly less money for fighters despite bringing in $100s of millions to the company. Before the Reebok deal, preliminary card fighters were getting $30-50k for short sponsorships. Average fighters were getting close to $100k. Champions and popular contenders were getting well into the 6 figures. Today with the Venum deal, the highest paid are the champs at $40k. Guys with 11 UFC fights are only getting $11k. It's disgusting. Especially considering that guys making $11k today could have been getting $200k+ considering inflation and the fact the UFC is a lot more popular today then it was 10 yeaes ago

What does underpaying even mean, like is there a standard that they have to follow. I am sure that they are paid according to the revenue their fight helped to generate.

JJ had lost 2 fights, 1st Gustafson and Reyes beat his ass for 3 rounds and was robbed. JJ was the greatest cheat who got caught using PEDs multiple times. JJ made his career fighting against smaller middleweights. He openly ducked Francis Ngannou then, and now he is openly ducking Aspinal to fight 50 yo Stipe. Nobody cares about that gimmick fight. According to Dana Powerslap is "the biggest sport ever."
