Luka is the best player in the NBA right now. The Mavericks have a legit chance to go to the Finals with their new bigs, and with two lethal closers in Kyrie and Luka.

@@Moneyball23 What are you talking about? Luka has the same defensive rating this season as Jaren Jackson Jr (former DPOY), Draymond Green, and he's actually ahead of guys like Keegan Murray, and Nurkic which people say are "great" defensive players. You're simply wrong bro.

Top 10 on average steals per game this season. Mavs are #2 defense in last 10 games. He’s not known for defense but if you put some good defenders around him he’s solid.

Watching Luka, Kyrie a lot. When there is a loose ball near them, they will go into a crowd of teammates and opponents and come away with the ball more often than the law of averages should allow. They have fantastic hands and the reason to know that is to watch other players fail to come up with the ball in similar situations. Hard to explain, but it's a thing with guys like those two.

I’m so spoiled watching Luka every night and now Kyrie. when i watch other teams, they’re just running around like headless chickens all game. Luka controls the game better than anyone else, and Kyrie is SO instinctual and skilled, he feels the energy of the game better than anyone alive. He destroys in the 4th quarter, clutch like his master Kobe. Kyrie was the final apprentice of Kobe, the MJ/Kobe spirit lives on in Luka/Kyrie

I don't think alotta people know Luka's background. He's been a professional basketball player for 9 years already and he's only 25. More importantly he's been a ball dominate tall and big player. He played in Europe in similar offenses as the NBA so the transition was much easier for him. Luka also has had the opportunity to watch LeBron play to study him. Luka's game is a great match for this era also with the spread out offense with space. The closest player to LeBron style of play is Luka. The main difference between their games is LeBron's explosiveness. Their stats are similar. They both love to go left and shoot 3 pointers from the left wing. Right shoulder fadeaways. Both don't like to go right and pull up for jumpers. Luka is just starting to shoot going to his right more. He's now running off screens a little to catch and shoot. Luka is averaging a triple double basically 35-10-9. Imagine if he can start making 85% or more of his foul shots??? Luka is a basketball genius. He sees the game faster then most guys like most of all the greatest players ever. He's special cause of alota the same reasons the other greatest players are and were special. Talent, confidence, work ethic, basketball IQ, consistency and love for the game.

Fundamentals ,vision and practice and again practice since Luka is been doing this since 8 year's old . US basketball main problem is the restriction and the monetizing of the game in early stages this leads to young players been put under the microscope since very early and this leads to fewer professional players been develop in all meaning of the word. Back in 1960 till 2000 the college programs use to produce MAN who came to the league with all skill required to play the game the right way .Yes you have freakish talent who jumped the que and become superstars.
