As a Buckinghamshire resident, I can say that the chained swan is because all swans in the UK belong to the monarch, and the chains represent this royal connection. Buckinghamshire has this on their flag because traditionally we kept many swans for the monarchs

Yes, every Marylander gushes over their flag. I’m a transplant here, and they certainly go crazy for it. That design is on everything from swimsuits to magnetic crabs slapped on the back of their cars. I’ve seen it made into a hoodie, and it’s actually not bad.

Not objectively, however, from their own perspectives, it isn't too complicated to imagine how each of them would appear to be the videos first viewer. Simply having them all load the youtube page on which this video appears before the others have clicked it, will show it as having zero views, and considering it takes a few seconds to comment on a video, and the average reaction time is in the hundreds of milliseconds, it's not too absurd to also have three people click on a video and see no other comments. While youtube's views and likes do now update live, from the viewpoint of anyone who has clicked a video with no views, it will cause it to appear that everyone is watching after you, as the numbers begin to tick up. It seems like you should start thinking before you comment. (I said this ironically, please don't typecast me as a personification of the nerd emoji 😭)

The lines in the Israeli flag represent a garment from the Jewish tradition called a "talit". The tallit is a square garment with wicks at each vertex that Jews wear during morning prayer (for ultra-Orthodox Jews the lines are black on white fabric, but some people wear a tallit in light blue on white). They also added the Star of David sign to the flag, which was considered the national symbol of Judaism in our day.

NAVA's "Good flag, bad flag" actually says that these principles are GUIDELINES, not absolute rules, i.e. a flag does NOT have to follow all of these principles to be a good flag. The flag of Russia actually is inspired by the flag of The Netherlands. Tsar Peter the Great lived in The Netherlands for a while (to study Ship making among others). He was impressed with the Dutch flag and wanted a similar one for his own country. When he returned to Russia he took a Dutch flag with him and had his tailor alter the flag. He cut off the red band from the top and sewed it back onto the flag at the bottom...
