This is a very nice review. You're one of very few persons who actually demonstrate how tough the lever is to pull🙂I'm doing home espresso for 7 years now, and a few days ago bought the Flair Pro 2. I'm using a Quickmill Carola (and the fabulous Eureka Specialità), and wanted to "step up" but I'm not into milk drinks so a dual boiler makes no sense. Instead, I decided that I want to learn more about espresso and go the fully manual route. So far, I did 4 shots with the Flair. And I already learned a few things. Making espresso with this is a whole other league, than with the Carola. I love my Carola and it's obviously a lot more convenient, but the Flair Pro 2 provides something the Carola just can't. The fascination and beauty of the fully manual, tactile, haptic process. Having full control over pressure any time. Operating a machine which you understand every tiny bit of (because you disassemble and re-assemble it for every single shot...), where the Carola mainly is a (beautiful!) black box that just works. And the FP2 is so incredibly well built! The brewing chamber looks and feels premium, so does the portafilter. And the entire machine just looks very cool. A modernistic, clean, "technical" look.

Nicely done, thanks. Yours is the only Pro2 clip I have found that goes through emptying and resetting the brew chamber. The piston's o-rings will need to be cleaned and lubed eventually, yes? Any thougts on how you will do that? I have a Flair NeoFlex and enjoy using it. Still thinking of adding a Pro2.
