On my cycling from Oman to South Africa, my focus has been more on the video than pictures and writing. It is more effective to capture experiences, especially art performances, on video, where you can combine visuals, sound, and movement to convey aesthetics and emotions.
When I learned about the belly dance performances on Desert Safaris in Dubai, I was immediately interested in filming a belly dance video. My host and I got in touch with a few dancers on Instagram. Luckily Daiana agreed to collaborate on this. She had only one hour, so I took her on a dune nearby her camp and shot this video just before her show started. It was an impromptu shoot, and I was unsure how I wanted to film. But Daiana was very cooperative, and as the sun approached the horizon, I framed her against the sun and only then did I know what the edited video would look like.
Thank you Daiana Romero - Topic for giving it all. She was covered with sand after nonstop dancing for one hour. It's not easy!
Also big thanks to @artistammaryasir for all the help. It wouldn't have been possible without his support.
