sir this lecturer is full of such information that seems to be impossible to find on KZbin in a single video. sir, I have a question that is if we want to do only qualitative analysis not quantitative then there is no need of making standard solutions.

Yes, then only colour of the flame and filter setting for a particular colour will be enough for qualitative analysis

Sir we use only 5 element in practical for flame photometer .can we use other element .if not than why reason? Plz explain it

The temperature of flame is not enough to atomize other heavier elements, so its heat is restricted to anlyze only these few elements. For higher elements we have other techniques like AAS and ICP

How flame gets ignition? What is the recommended fuel -oxygen ratio? What is the flow rate of fuel & air? What is the recommended pressure of pump? How all the steps (Desolvation, vaporization, atomization, excitation) happened in short interval of time? How should we came to know whether flame temperature, flow rate etc is perfect as per our requirement? I'm talking about calibration. Thank you.

Flame is ignited automatically when we ON instrument by a switch placed at back side of instrument. Pump adjust automatically fuel oil ratio. We adjust pressure manually in the middle neither too high neither too low like in the medium. If pressure or fuel oxygen ratio is out of balance then flame ignition will turn off automatically. Sample is sucked in minute amount and excess is sent to gutter automatically. Flame temperature is enough to do all steps from desolation to atomisation and excitation. Due to limited temperature range only few elements can be analysed so that why we then move to advanced instruments for heavy elements analysis. We do calibration of the instrument by using standard solutions that come from company with the instrument.

AOA ! Sir Callibration cruve at higher concentration show negative deviation, could it be there poistive deviation too... Secondly sir Fuel+Air guage shows the pressure as in this video pressure is of 15psi how can we adjust ? Because there is no nobe or controller...

Rather most of the time its positive deviation, means the actual concentration is low while detector signal is high. Negative deviation means actual concentration is high but detector signal is low. It's due to agglomeration causing light to pass through the gaps between two agglomerates.

We can control it from the suction power of vacuum pump, fuel supply from cylinder, valves at the back side of the instrument.
Sir please explain coarse scale more...i-e range at wich it will be hundred,thousand or ten scale

Coarse scale is just the setting of your reading in terms of numbers. It means either you want to have reading of emission in the scale from 1 to 10 or from 10 to 100 or from 100 to 1000. So we can choose from these options by using the coarse scale mode.

It is not difficult to get new filters for other elements. But the temperature of flame is not enough to excite other element atoms. That's why FAES is restricted to these few elements mentioned in the video
