Phly - great to see you back. Nerd info. The fuel pipe from the trailer (which could be jettisoned from within the tank in case it got hit) ran underneath the belly of the tank and only went up through a small hole near the front, close to where the actual flamethrower was located. So it bypassed the whole engine and turret compartment and not jeopardized the armour or protection in any way.

FYI the nozzle squirted 4 gallons per second, so at close range that really would screw up WW2 tanks. Any armour gaps could prove fatal, a long squirt would warm any tank up quite a bit and engines need air to run, so sucking in "napalm" (petrol/diesel mix?) would probably be detrimental.

@@FooLoo_ Unlikely. If you used a shell with a good HE content the explosion would be awesome. But the tank would probably survive. Might look a bit scorched and need a new paint job and an engine service though. 😆

Rounds still show as penetrating even if they don't fully pass through the armor. In that case is behaves more like hesh with spaulling doing most of the damage while the actual round is still in the armor

I mean, I know War Thunder and reality often don't get along, but I would imagine the flamethrower would choke the engine out pretty quickly and then eventually would asphyxiate the crew.

I dont know if you looked this up, but the fuel was routed underneath the tank in an armored piped, then went to soft lines after it passed through the bulkhead into the tank. the trailer hitch also had a jettison device, because what goes better with fuel than a small explosive.

I've had those Factor meals. My parents get them shipped and freeze em. Theyre pretty good. I always take some when I go over there to visit or help with chores around the house. Oh yeah and I used the keto ones for my keto diet last year and they helped. They were just easy meals here and there when I didnt want to cook and since my parents gave me like 20 of em i had a bunch. They ordered em so my mom wouldnt have to cook every night and then she cooked every night anyways

Yes phly, the ai in the test drive map does actually auto-repair. If you destroy their tracks or their barrel, they repair it.

Welcome back phly, and I totally agree, why doesn't suppressing fire from a freaking napalm (or ww2 equivalent) flamethrower, not do anything to armoured vehicles... just the oxygen deprivation alone would suffocate everyone inside.. and the flames would kill anyone who tries to flee. Not saying it would be efficient, but surely it would still put a tank out of action.

But hey, you should check out the Italian C13 T90 It was the vehicle that got me my phirst nuke, and I’d like to see it and the ABUL/74 (specifically the 90mm) on the channel! The combo means in any terrain you can get to a sneaky spot, and scout phor tons of SP! (Day 102, but technically day 199) (But play the Hawk III first) (Play all the new stuff actually first, then the Hawk, then the C13) Even tho he’s retired I still strive to see the Hawk III for my boy

Phly try playing the hampden as cas bc it can carry 4x1000 pound bombs with a 500 as extra, it’s super fun and you can usually get 3 kills with a bomber

Metal takes a lot to melt and that’s not the specialized stuff that goes into tank armor. You’d more likely cook the crew alive than melt into the metal.
