A nice version of an absolutely beautiful song. But, I don't think she really feels it. The song is written from a very specifically male viewpoint, so she was always going to be up against it in that department. But she still manages to make a very nice version.

Why do people insist that a cover song somehow 'ruins' an original? Are you that stuck in your own fantasy world that the slightest variation causes fear and an angry response. This song speaks to someone, and no-one, but resonates with everyone. It's poetry and a beautiful song that touches everyone in some way if it relates to them directly or not. No other song has this effect on me. It's a beautiful song that speaks to everyone, if it relates to you in reality or in your imagination, or fantasy that you wish this song about you and you wish you could be the weary traveller, because in some respects you are in some way... The person who wrote this song understood exactly what they were writing and why, and sang it perfectly to add justice to the lyrics... Such an underrated song that grabs hold of everyone who come across it, if only by accident.

Y'all should check out what a flame tree is from the Northern Coast of NSW, this song is about Grafton IIRC.

Yes I thought it was odd that Grafton was the town in mind without there being flame trees present, I think you need to go North to get flame trees though, none in my town, and we are pretty country, I think they need to the right amount of rain, that sub-tropical environment.
