Your guitar playing is really good. Thank you for the great deeper rhythmic analysis Soleá needed so much.

This was so helpful! I just took my first Flamenco dance class this week, and I experienced the confusion you were talking about in this video. I didn't understand how the count fit in with the dance steps and the guitar. The way you broke it down made so much sense. Now I want to learn to dance and play Flamenco guitar!

Fantastic video. I'm learning Solea at the moment and Intuitively it feels right to sometimes accent the first beat of a group of 3 and I've been thinking, no, stick to the 3, 6 etc. This video has really opened my eyes, thank you.

Bravo, Guille! Very effective visuals and demonstrations of the different Solea "feels." This is yet another example of your game-changing approach to teaching flamenco......it's as if you're turning light switches on down a dark hallway, illuminating the way for the rest of us as we walk the path to understanding. I especially loved hearing you play! Thanks for this excellent work!

Pure gold ✨ and very interesting and useful - such as for creatng an escobilla, maybe you should understand all of this first and your escobilla will be more creative and you can play around more with the ryhthms and it will work.
@FlamencoMAPS6 ай бұрын
Thanks a lot Audrey! 😊 Yes it’s definitely helpful for escobillas! It’s one of the rhythmic basic elements of 12-beat compás escobillas, same for alegria etc…

thanks for videos like this, my question for years, that why i see Great guitarist like paco de lucia, for example in bulerias, changes the accents & golpe patterns,sometimes they change an strong beat to silence, and sometimes they use golpe on the weak beats and that is the super confusing part of the compas world 😁
@FlamencoMAPSАй бұрын
Yes that’s part of the answer, and then… creativity and genius (on top of hard work) 😅
