Bill Evans deserves some credit here. Flamenco Sketches was built of of Bill's 5-chord progression in Peace Piece.

Amazing how something so beautiful can come out of 5 different notes with each players different interpertations.
@joy1ess Жыл бұрын
@@arlo2203 yes.. and even him saying 5 "chords" isn't correct. I'm sure he meant 5 modalities
@joy1ess Жыл бұрын
@@arlo2203 it's not a replicate actually. the two chords intro is in different inversion from what bill evans played and the head is different from what miles played.

@mavericksc0703 It's 5 chords,not 5 notes. Each chord implies many potential scales with which to explore your own melodies.Miles chose these 5 chords, no melody, then cut his whole band loose knowing only the chords. But, it was arguably the greatest quintet in jazz history, and MD knew they could jump off the cliff fearlessly if he asked them to.Chris's tone is beautiful with electronic help.But, his solo is derivation,no imagination.He knows it.Kudos to him for acknowledging the Master.

trillium We are soon moving to Charleston And cannot wait to hear something like this. Love Miles Davis and any music. Son was in the band at school and was first chair. We were band president and will always remember those days. Music fills the heart with joy. Removes all stress and calms the nerves. This is a wonderful example of love.

I don't think this is the whole song. I've got the album and it goes on for another couple of minutes roughly. The rest of it is quite good.
