It's difficult, but very helpful. I'm still struggling to change left hand chord position and accelerate Rumba. It's still fun. I've been playing double bass for 20 years. This is a great change. ¡Muchísimas gracias Maestro David! Me encanta como expliques y que toques!

Thanks so much Simon! Appreciate your nice feedback. 🙏🏼 Always encouraging to hear. You know, these Tangos lessons are a little more difficult and past the initial beginners stage, which is why debated to post these. But I just wanted to give a foundation for those who wanted a little more. For now, take what you can, and just make sure to continue to work the fundamentals before going too far ahead. Wishing you luck on your guitar journey and I’m here for any help you may need. 👌🏼

Hello from France :) . Thanks for the video. I will start learning classical guitar. My first challenge is to learn as right-handed, because I am left-handed. I believe it should be fine. I bought a very cheap guitar ($50) just to check. My interest is about spanish style. I believe "spanish style" means nothing and everything in same time. I don't know yet if it's flamenco, tango or something else. I just know it sounds spanish and melancholic / sad ... So far all the lessons I found are about classical guitar to play classical repertoire. But maybe I don't have choice and any players went thru the same lessons as basis : classical style. Did u you start same ? Or You got specialized to these spanish style ? thanks. Maybe I will find out the answers by checking more your channel ^^

Hi Josué! That’s awesome that you started your Spanish guitar journey. 👍🏼 Ao this video might be a little to advanced if you just started; but I do have a lot of technique and rhythm tutorials that will help you start. So I love using the term Spanish Guitar, because it encompasses everything under that umbrella. It may be Flamenco, or Spanish Classical or any style song, but played on a nylon string and using techniques from classical or Flamenco. I started with Latin Guitar, which uses some of the same techniques then went to Flamenco and then Classical. And now, I use a blend of all of the above. I try to make this channel for people like me that like all of the above under the Spanish Guitar. I’m also in the middle of making a full course for beginners to help with this. Wishing you luck on your start and hope some of my videos help you out! 👌🏼

@@DavidChiriboga Gracias :) I do understand what you mean. I think I should think first of basis before specialization ... and in same time trying to play the melodies I like to keep the movitation. Thanks again and see you in your other videos !

@@DavidChiriboga thank you David for the description of your guitar!🙏 but too extensive for me 😄 do you think if i buy a Cordoba c1 matiz model is a good choice? Because i played classical guitar when i was 15 years old during only 6 month with a classical guitar teatcher and after i passed électric guitar directly because i loved too much hard rock it's my génération ( i was born in 1965) but i always liked the classical and flamenco guitar😜 i am self- taught but it's so difficult to try to play flamenco without a Real teacher ! In my country in normandy there is nobody teaches flamenca guitar 😒! Now i see your tutorials, but it's would be better with a teacher like you😄🙏

Merci beaucoup! 🙂

Can you play flamenco guitar with no nails, just flesh?
@DavidChiriboga
@DavidChiriboga Жыл бұрын
Yes you can! But personally I feel like it makes it a bit more challenging to achieve the punchy tone and attack for some of the flamenco techniques. The sound will be a little more dull with pure flesh. But if that’s your only option, for whatever the reasons may be, I’d still say to go for it! Since I’m so use to having nails for so long now, I’m use to that aesthetic for both playability and the sound. But if you learn with no nails, then you’ll get use to it.

Hers axquetikn how does one play with emotion or does that come with time
@DavidChiriboga
@DavidChiriboga 9 ай бұрын
Honestly, I think once you can start to worry less about the technique and making a mistake, then it lets you focus on playing with emotion more. But that said, best to try to “feel it” from the start and not just think technically.

David! I love your videos, you inspire me to do better! Very helpful and talented ❤ Now I wanna ask.. in LucasGitanoFamily's loop of Bailame, he does something at 0:17 kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGSuq36lmpWMkJY It's like a golpe twice, but not the double golpe. Strumming with golpe. Would youind covering that in a video or giving some insight/advice?
@DavidChiriboga
@DavidChiriboga Жыл бұрын
Thanks, that means a lot to me! ❤️‍🔥 I checked it out. I believe that’s the double thumb golpe that the gipsy kings use in a lot of their rumba rhythms. I think that’s what you’re referring to. There’s also a regular golpe mixed into that same loop as well. I could do a breakdown of this one… 😉
