The history aspect is interesting forsure but my core play group tends to practice for tournament play. We are certainly meta grinders

Two issues - the Grilles are a 2-gun battery, so they need to re-roll hits. And, smoke needs to be the first thing in the firing step. Otherwise, great battle report.

In Bulge: German armored panzergrenadiers can field platoons of three Grille.

In bulge German, Waffen Grilles come as a support option where you can take larger platoons. Up to 6 is memory serves. As to the smoke, we're both forgetful so we're lax on that rule so long as we haven't fired at it with anything else. In the event we have, we back up that shooting and negate the prior results.

@@klauskeller6380 If memory serves I never went below 3. I took a unit of 4. Waffen Grilles come 4 guns for 9 points. I lost 1, and stayed at 3 the rest of the game.
