Flames of War model storage - Sally 4th trays

I thought it might be worth showing how I store my models, using Sally 4th trays in a Really Useful Box. This is a magnetic storage solution and would require vehicles to be based. Magnetic sheeting came from Ebay.

Just getting into Team Yankee, and this video literally just saved my life. Question though; any ideas on how to store helicopters?

What brand of sheets are you using?

I use magnetic sheeting on the trays, from a variety of sources depending on price and availability. I can't say I use any particular brand. I then use ferrous steel sheeting on the underside of the models. I have a friend who does the opposite. Steel sheeting in the trays, and magnets on the bases.

@@ThemadTinhatter how hard is it to work with the steel sheeting? I just got my order in of sally 4th inserts in, thanks again for this excellent video!

@@MrGunnar177 the stuff I use is ferrous sheeting, and it cuts with scissors. There are various thicknesses, the last purchase I ordered were these: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rubber-Steel-Sheet-Magnetically-Receptive-Ferrous-Rolls-Movement-Tray-Wargaming-/333130779227?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286 It might be worth noting a friend does things slightly differently. He puts the ferrous sheets on the trays, then has bases ordered with a 5mm hole cut in, which he places a neodymium magnet into. Then bases the figures and they stick to the trays. Whereas I put the magnetic sheeting in the tray and ferrous sheeting under the bases. His method is more elegant, but mines was easier to do retrospectively with my collection (and the flames of war bases).
