Argh, how did I miss seeing this before, it's been out for more than a year?! I've been hanging onto the exact same skull wreath since 2015 for the day when I have a big enough crucible to cast it in one shot. Well, I guess it serves me right for waiting so long - you beat me to it! Came out not too bad for you too, congrats.

Cool idea. Good use of Halloween toy! Have you considered coating with gyprock plaster before pouring ? Better finish and less clean up...

Mate that was a bloody big casting good work 👏🏻👍🏻. Hey when degassing The Aluminium do you just use Borax or something similar? Good to see your slowly getting back into this melting game😁

Hi bigstackD, thanks I was actually surprised that my cruicable could store all that aluminum for this casting, I use Washing Soda powder it works great for degassing. Btw I really like your channel you have great videos 👍 and setup for your homemade foundry.

Good job I like metal casting myself but I have a tiny Crucible with a small electric furnace got to come up with new ideas I've been stalemate on it lately
