I watched Hey Arnold as a kid. This show was always different than all the rest. Arnold was a good kid surrounded by a negative world. Even so, he made the best of it and helped others along the way. He wasnt perfect either, but he was a good kid. Having pain helped him to help others who were also in pain, even though they almost never recoprocated this service. Arnold never expected payment or reward, but felt good knowing that he brightened someone's day or made the world just a bit better.

As I listen to this wonderful piece of music a huge chapter of my life comes to a close. The wonderful car my widowed mother bought after my father's untimely death will be meeting the terrible scrapyard tomorrow. But I sit here in this wrecked shell with this wonderful track on repeat, remembering 20 years of happiness and sadness, all lived within this insignificant automobile. How can you love a car this much??? I never knew it was possible. But thank you for this music......it really is exactly what I needed to help heal my broken heart. It's just a car people say? No. Its so much more than that. Spend more than 20 years and your childhood with a auto and you will know this feeling. Thank you for posting this music.

@@thrillfinesse firstable, I really couldn't get out of the house for the last 6 months for obvious reasons, second, where and what would I do. There is literally nothing to do, the most interesting place that I've been at in my town is a literal rain pipe. Secondable, even if there was a place that would be fun to be at, I would need a car, which I legally can not have, public transport doesn't exist here, and riding 20 miles on a bicycle doesn't seem worth it, which I can't even do because my only bike broke, and the scooter that I had got stolen, so I am limited to 2 mile radius at most, in which, as I already said before, nothing happens. @@user-ef6gv4wv1l It really is. It makes you think of just how genius Hillenburg's character dynamics were. Dude was a huge childhood hero to me and a whole lot of other kids, and now that he's gone it's hard to watch that video the same way..

Discoside I think that without the shown images, you would have not so easily linked the music that you hear to the Hey Arnold soundtracks. Assuming without prior knowledge how you would interpret the music without the already accompanying video (the video showing a gif from Hey Arnold) the same as you actually do now [that is, you conceive them as being linked together, it 'reminds' you of Hey Arnold soundtrack]. But this is all mere theoretical speculation, and in the end it doesn't matter at all very much what is the case. Psychology though, what a joy it is!

Bart Beek its actually a remix of a Hey Arnold song. It's called "Groove Remote" by Jim Lang

Patrick Kenny That clarifies a whole lot! All my ramblings thus were all but utter nonsense ^_^
@JiveChillin9 жыл бұрын
well, I spent much of my childhood watching Hey Arnold. (And that's why I went to hear jazz, thanks to Jim Lang). Anyway, I did not know it was a remix of the soundtrack, but this guitar is unmistakable, with or without gif. I'm glad you agree that coment were nonsense :D

From the sample of "Jim Lang - Groove Remote (Abner)" Original composition by Jim James or formal known as James Volker Langknecht for this infamous nostalgic show "Hey Arnold". 2 variations; Abner or Lockjaw was made. Abner has crispier tones while Lockjaw has the somber tone.

There's just something bittersweet about the 90's era, a lot sweeter though. I just can't put my finger on it, the aesthetics of it all was incomparable, Nickelodeon's old cartoons can depict the era petty well specially Hey Arnold. Old New York vibes, rusty buildings and bridges, chiller people, hot scotch and chalkboard drawings in every sidewalk near a school area, old and crumbly buildings, interacting with strangers was fun; and would not be considered ''creepy'' or ''awkward'' and many great friendships would be built from a simple appproach/word. Old school bus smell, nights felt more mystical and suave. Interacting for long periods of times in a electronic device was punishment or a challenge, the outdoors were what was trending. Sure we have advance a lot in many ways, but had it been possible to incorporate the 90's and 80's era into this era it'd be close to heaven. This song and video are the perfect representation of it.

I’m almost done with college and plan to head to CSUF next year and actually going to another tour at that school very soon. As soon as I get accepted, I plan to remind myself that I come back and play this song to remind how I can become independent from home and focus on my own studies by myself.
