This is not a bad idea. I bought a red one , it actually looks good with my metallic soft iron colored panels. BUT, the white light still leaks out. No matter how much adjustments I’ve made the white light still leaks out in side and it’s very visible. I just took it off because it look so generic. I hope they improve the design to completely cover the light. It’s an Eye sore.

Duuuude this is freaking genius! The white light is so abundant and noticeable, now I can have it glow blue all the time just like its CONSTANTLY ADVERTISED!!!

The blue light is actually bad for your eyes, hence the decision to go from blue to white.

Just added the blackout version to my PS5, and now there’s no obnoxious amber light (no light at all, as a matter of fact) when the PS5 is in rest mode (or any other mode). I’m super glad I found these!

The stock console is only blue during startup. The light is lit white when in-use.

pro tip, apply it very close to the edge of the line. You'll get better color results with it that way (Less white showing through).

@@jamiegreyy If you simply cover the clear plastic strip that looks like the led strip, you will most likely have white light still showing though. So instead of applying to that, apply the decal more towards the outer edge of the middle black piece of the console. Also though. it's pretty easy to peel it off and re-apply. So the biggest tip is actually to turn it on before putting the shells back on to check that the white led is fully covered

Hmm, seen a few showing the red stickers, when they turn on the initial blue light shows, then when the normal white light would normally glow, this is now replaced by red. Just put this on mine, i dint get the blue light first, more like a purple colour. On others it looks really blue

I managed to finally get my hands on one I got it through my friend his broadband offered him one so I got lucky, it is a great console though after transferring most of my data from my PS4 to my ps5 it has left me little to no memory that’s the down side so if you do get one make sure you choose the things you really want or play the most don’t take everything over
