Thank you for such a great review video! I’ve always been a fan of rollerskating but I’ve been wanting something recently that will allow me to easily get around small distances in San Francisco that beats having my skates in the trunk. I think I’ll tray myself to a pair of these for my birthday next year 🙌🏾

I like that you said that the shoes don't offer a really good support, I'm french and I heard of this brand but my concern is that the shoes might not be suportive enough for skating, I fear the risk of injury and for near $500 I don't know is this is worth the risk

I’ve been building custom skates for 4 years now, and I’ve built skates out of all kinds of shoes. The thing is, there’s a reason skate boots are different than shoes. Walk around a day in skate boots. They aren’t meant for walking. Inversely, walking shoes aren’t meant for skating. Without the right support, you end up putting energy into the soft sole, and bending out the side of the shoe. So you’re working harder, and putting more pressure on your knees. To make up for that, you need lot loosen up your trucks and/or using softer cushions so I would only recommend these to advanced skaters.

9:37 I never had Xsjados and at this point that will probably not change anymore, but the Xsjado footwraps still were low-cut shoes. For me, they looked like normal sneakers. Especially when the footwrap is only a sneaker, I'm pretty sure the whole support comes only from the plastic cuff and I don't really think this changed that much with the new Shadows. But I really don't understand why USD only offers high-cut footwraps for the Shadow. It's a really good idea as an additional option for the winter, but I think people tend to go skating a lot more in the summer. Do they really think those shows are a valid option to walk around in during the summer? If you have to change shoes anyway because the footwrap is a shoe for the winter, the whole concept doesn't make any sense anymore.

someday I will be rich enough to buy these XD you could buy a house with that much money in Brazil. (that's a joke lol) 570 euros + shipping to Brazil (probably at least 100 Euro) then + 60% customs tax = 1070 euros aproximately. around 7k BRL. this is 6 months worth of my rent LOL a USD Aeon here cost right now = 2700BRL which is around 550USD
@iggywow3 жыл бұрын
Finding a pair of Aeons in a size that's not like a size 5 would be a miracle right now, in norway they're expensive yes but there are literally no skates in stock anywhere :/

Flaunerz offers free worldwide shipping :D (or at least that's what the website says, I've never bought any) and the cheapest "ready to roll" Flaunerz is 370 Euros, which is still a lot, but less than 570. Also, 60% tax? Damn. That's ridiculous (not saying it isn't real, I don't know what it is. It's just ridiculously high).

Sorry, I love your show, Lino, but had to give a thumbs down on this. The only type of shoe that I’ve found to be sturdy enough to be made into a skate are cleats. Without the support, a regular shoe puts extra pressure on your knees.
@RollsRight83 жыл бұрын
Oh, Interesting take. Cleats as in footballer/runner's shoes? I read "clogs" at first. lol
@charliezxi3 жыл бұрын
@@RollsRight8 soccer cleats, baseball, haven’t tried football cleats. Of course, you have to cut some cleats off, and level the plate area. They have to have the support in the side panels, but most I’ve seen, do.
