Flange standards (MOST SIMPLE GUIDE) | ASME B16.5 | ASME B16.47 | ASME B16.34 | ASME B16.36

Flanges are used to connect pipes with each other, to valves, to fittings, and to specialty items such as strainers and pressure vessels.
ASME B16.5 Standard covers Pipe Flanges and Flanged Fittings from NPS 1/2 through NPS 24 Metric/Inch.
ASME B16.5 Standard covers pressure-temperature ratings, materials, dimensions, tolerances, marking, testing, and methods of designating openings for pipe flanges and flanged fittings.
ASME B16.47 (Large Diameter Steel Flanges) is a standard for large diameter steel pipe flanges sized from NPS 26 through NPS 60.
ASME B16.47 Standard covers pressure-temperature ratings, materials, dimensions, tolerances, marking, testing, and methods of designating openings for pipe flanges and flanged fittings.
ASME B16. 36 is often abbreviated and referred to as an ORFF. This threaded orifice flange for metering the volumetric flow rate of liquids and gases through a pipe
ASME B16.34 Valves Flanged, Threaded and Welding End applies to new construction. It covers pressure-temperature ratings, dimensions, tolerances, materials, nondestructive examination requirements, testing, and marking for cast, forged, and fabricated flanged, threaded, and welding end and wafer or flangeless valves of steel, nickel-base alloys, and other alloys Wafer or flangeless valves, bolted or through-bolt types, that are installed between flanges or against a flange are treated as flanged-end valves.

Thanks for the vedio. If I have understand well for orifice plate with pipe taps no need for asme b16.36 flanges. They are required only for orifice with flange taps. That's it or not ??
