That's South Africa, right? Been there coastal soaring only. What a magic view!

It is. You would probably love this video then. ;) kzbin.info/www/bejne/imHMnnSVec98bqMsi=OrxnxEoZ5YydNx7K

Whats your all up weight on the Zeno? I fly the Z2 small and AUW is 86/88kg and im not convinced on the small, maybe MS would have been better
@wild2flyparagliding1605 ай бұрын
I also fly a Z2 now. The small. Love the glider. AUW 83-85kg. My sink rate is as good as anything out there. ;)

Can I fly a 26 moustache with 80KG flying weight only? I want one for thermaling. So far, I do it with my 18. Works like a charm, but breakpressure is quite heavy over time, so I wonder how it is with a 26.
@wild2flyparagliding16011 ай бұрын
I dont have much experience on the 26 but it is way different to the 18 (I owned an 18). The 26 does thermal better than the 18 with less break pressure (though the intent is not necessarily for thermaling even if it does it very well.). 😉

@@wild2flyparagliding160 Thanks ;) As it is the most collapse resistant wing ever, I think it's very much for thermaling, but that's just my personal opinion and it might considerably differ from mainstream ;P

@@P4n0r4mAif you collapse cravat the flare it is important to know the tailslide immediately no matter how resistant if your inland then bad air will collapse the leading edge.
@P4n0r4mA11 ай бұрын
@@5ty717You can't tailslide a moustache. It will never fly backwards, ever. And from all the Mo's out there, not a single frontal collapse has been reported. Not from those soaring in 60km/h winds, nor those who dare to thermal. None.

The moustache 26 is new or relatively. The original advice was thermal air and moustaches did not go together but that was prior to the 26 coming out. Your video was very impressive and have wanted to add to my 18 which I fly at the coast. This video has made up my mind I will definitely be getting a 26. Flair moustache have revolutionised paragliding with a unique riser system. This has already been copied many like little cloud and mullet.

What were your totals: relative weights for size (proj area) Then ; wingloadings ~4.5?
@wild2flyparagliding16011 ай бұрын
Not exactly sure. Armin looks slightly heavier than me - Im 74kg and the Zeno is 21m projected area. 😉
@VeilofApocryphon6 ай бұрын
Wait. You can do thermaling with the moustache ?
@wild2flyparagliding1606 ай бұрын
Wait, what..!? Didnt you know that if you have a Moustache you can do what ever the hell you want! ;)
@VeilofApocryphon6 ай бұрын
@@wild2flyparagliding160 it’s just that everything I’ve seen so far was soaring and furious speed flying down the mountains from moustache pilots. Goes to show I was wrong. Mind asking what is your weight ? Great video.
@simhathecat8 ай бұрын
Looks like it's not about Moustache having any advantage: you just fell away from the core in this uncertain thermal. Happens all the time. But I may be wrong...
@wild2flyparagliding1608 ай бұрын
Probably you are right. ;) But the theory is that Armin thinks he can do quicker corrections in the turbulent cores - get his speed up faster and therefore adjust more efficiently and do better in the climb. Who knows for sure - in turbulent cores its often just a lucky turn that makes the difference. ;)

Could you explain me what makes the moustache better in rough and broken thermals? I dont quite understand the logic there.
@wild2flyparagliding1608 ай бұрын
There is no logic here. I think it is probably just the pilot. ;)

Beautiful video and soaring equipment. I want to try parasoaring some time. Be careful turning a circle inside each other. Its only a matter of time before one or the other misjudges height. Make sure your circle isntt crossing against others.
