@@KeepItSimpleOffroad taking kids off roading is always great, but it can be stressfull to keep track of them. Just wait until they all have Jeeps, motorcycles, or ATV's, it's a lot of fun, and a bit stressful, but so worth it to do it as a family.

Good call, good reactions by everyone. It might not LOOK like much on video, but you dont mess with these when they show up. Nature can turn deadly fast in unexpected ways. You get out of the way and to safety. Well done all!
@KeepItSimpleOffroad6 жыл бұрын
Shkotay D it’s funny because had we just rolled up to this we would have went right through it but because we didn’t know how much was coming and how fast it got there had everyone spooked for a few minutes. Seriously 3 mins earlier or later and we would have lost at least 1 of the Jeeps on the obstacle.
@shkotayd97496 жыл бұрын
Yah those flash floods can start off with a trickle and turn into a raging flood fast. If you cant see whats coming, best to not risk it. Its promising that everyone was freaked out and still managed to do exactly what they needed to. A lot of people panic and become understandably useless during that time. Seems like you all didnt :O

Just something to think about here.... UNLIKE a river, a flash flood even about the size of this in the video can and normally carries big boulders along with it in the currents that you absolutely CAN NOT see. Attempting to cross it whether by foot or vehicle can have some bad consequences.

I used to live in Arizona. Flash floods are a way of life or death in some cases. It may appear to be clear where you're at but raining hard miles into the high country. It seemed like every year a car would venture into water from a wash cutting across a road. When the car stalled the driver would attempt to restart. And before you know it, enough water would come and take the car and the occupants. It spawned the phrase "Don't drown, turn around."

This is sound advise. We did know this is a chance of being in there. That’s one reason everyone got out. All you had to say was water. There where exits. On both sides. Up to a point. Luckily turned out ok. It’s weird because it’s not super fast but a lot of water.

motoX exactly dude. If we would have came up on this we would have drove right through it. We had plenty of experience with us and a 5.5 military truck on 52’s It’s a weird deal when a bunch of water shows up quick and you don’t know how much more is coming. We had time for sure but we didn’t know that then. Then it was making sure everyone was out. Half went back we went forward. Just getting a head count the. It was just watching and enjoying. Oh and none of us had scuba gear like Fred so there was that. Lol

Why would anyone spend a lot of money on a vehicle and then tear it up. Better yet why would anyone own a jeep.
