Was looking at it yesterday! I had to get some I LOVE THIS YARN METALLIC (in pink). I think I'll get a cotton wheel, or whatever their cakes are called. It felt softer for what I want it for. Thanks for your review. I love reviews--really helps me in what I buy.

I'm making a bag right now with Fundamental Cotton - I'm loving it. Out of curiosity, I checked the Hobby Lobby website, and they have 12 colors in this now.

I've used it for a plant holder. It's strong, looks great hanging. Agreed, I didn't care if this was soft. I just needed to be able to work with it without hurting my fingers or it being scratchy. It did neither. I've figured out over the last four years that HL only adds colors to yarns they know sell well and then it has taken them time. This is a new yarn for them so they only released a few.

The most widely known and widely available #4 mercerized cotton is Lion brand 24/7 cotton. They've got a bunch of lovely colors. But I definitely want to try the HL fundamental cotton to compare it.

Hi Frannie, I watched your tutorial on the belt you made using this yarn and the belt looked super, I've not used this particular yarn I have used the very fine mercerized cotton for doily's etc, not sure if Hobby Lobby ship to Australia but I will go and check them out, I love mercerized cotton but it's so expensive here in Australia, thanks for the review and stay safe.

Great review, thanks for all the information🥰🥰. No, I have never worked with that yarn…I’ll be keeping an eye on Hobby Lobby’s 30% discount…thanks. Love your rating scale. Thanks for your review🙏🏻 P.S. I’ve been working many hours on my top, I had to frog it a couple of times because it’s my first🙃. When I woke up this morning my hand was killing me, is that normal? Any input would be helpful
@FranniesHair2 жыл бұрын
What type of hold do you use with your hook? When I first started, I used the pencil grip....but my wrist killed me. I switched to a knife grip, and it is much better. No pain.
@zoilarivera88662 жыл бұрын
@@FranniesHair ……I’m right handed and use the knife position but it’s not my right hand that hurts is my left. My left hand is (ONLY) holding my project🙃. That’s why I don’t understand….my left hand doesn’t do almost any work but it’s killing me. I’ve stopped crocheting for two days and I feel so sad but it’s getting better. It really means a lot to me that you took the time to reply to help me..thanks😊

Do you think it'll not pill ?
@FranniesHair2 жыл бұрын
When a cotton is mercerized, the cotton fibers shrink which tightens and smooths the thread making it less prone to pilling. I have not experienced any pilling yet, but I haven't worn the belt that much. I hope this helps.💕🧶
