Got those egg shapes at reading parthian and they're so polished it's worse than duel texture holds, but on fresh ones they're okay and I like them. So I guess it depends on how new they are lol

Love a flash the set video, doubly so when it's filmed at Hang. You should check out the Oakwood Centre in Bracknell, they have a pretty decent sized comp wall there, and just generally really nice, varied bouldering.

Overall I like the egg holds since they match the shape of my hands pretty well and feel really comfortable to hold, however, there is 1 or 2 versions of the egg hold that are horrendously bad and slopey and have caused me many a graze after a dry fire

Those eggy holds are used in the 5c/6a circuit at my gym. I don't hate them

Funny, in my gym they are used in the 6B/C circuit, so I think of them as bad holds. Kind of shows you that it's not just the holds that make a climb hard...

Are there any tips about climbing V5-V6’s easier, or maybe getting better at climbing them. Ive been doing fine progressing, there are usually a select few that i can climb. For most of them i just look them over and go “I dont have the strength to climb that”.
