I think this game was the start of my being a Tottenham supporter. I worked the night shift at a hotel in Canada and I would get home and the only thing on st 7 am was English soccer. And every time Spurs would play it was an event. Every match was an instant classic. Then one day I was wandering through Royal Sports and saw a Tottenham shirt on sale so I was like "Fuck it" and that was that. COYS.

I remember this night very well. Was a student at Southampton at the time but went up to London to see a recording of Millionaire, Wednesday night so I didn't miss any lectures travelling up in the afternoon. I saw the BBC live text updates on my old Nokia keyboard phone - 2008! - before I got the train to St Pancras, and then got the tube to Victoria for my coach back to Southampton. It was absolutely full of Arsenal fans, and they were utterly silent.
