1992 was the year I felt the 90s really arrived, especially in the fall of 1992. Spring 1992 still had some left over 80s stuff, but by late summer/fall '92, you really could feel "the 90s" in the air. Grunge and gangsta rap had dominated the radio airwaves.

Also, I just remembered; as part of their rebrand in 1992, TLC (the channel, not the rap group; back when it was great and not filled with garbage) began the preschool block "Ready, Set, Learn!" to compete with Nick, Jr. They would soon face competition with PBS a year later with PBS Kids.

When he retired in 1992 he had literally been on T.V. my whole life...1962-1992. Now this year he has been off the air for 30 years.....the same amount of time he hosted the Tonight Show! You went to the naval academy there? I had a buddy who had his boat docked at the marina there. I spent almost every weekend there in 2010 helping with his boat and at the end of the summer there was huge party with all the naval officers and the students from the academy and a wicked fireworks show right in front of the Newport bridge. That night was one of the most memorable nights of my life because I was at rock bottom just 8 months prior when I left ct and moved to rhode island with nothing but a desire to start over. That place hold a special spot in my heart for that reason. And by the way, yes summer in Newport as a single guy in his mid 20s is about as good as it gets. 😂

Our government began sinking with Nixon and his aides breaking into the Democratic National Committees headquarters and Reagan selling arms to Iran in order to aid the Contras in Nicaragua. Both of these occurred well before Clinton was in office. Our Congress voted against aiding the Contras, so Reagan sold military arms to Iran to get money for them. Iran! Iran! Nixon started the now Republican tradition of election fraud. But let's make a big deal about Clinton lying about an affair he had. If that bothers you so much, let's get that lying sack of turds, Trump, to testify about his affair with Stormy Daniels.
