I am shocked at how close the two versions sound. Jenny Silver did it herself - and it took five from STEPS to recreate it. They are both good - surprised this never went very far internationally.

Eurovision is all about the country you represent rather than what you sing. If your country is popular and especially with your neighbours, you get votes. That is why a song with a good melody like this would get nowhere

@Zebbrox Jenny was good enough to win the Melodifestivalen (and the Eurovision Song Contest). And here there are questions to the system of the contest and vote. Sometimes a lot of good songs fall into one preliminary round, and they can not all reach the final.

@gnom1947 Popular is a typical Fredrik Kempe "song", half a sentance of lyrics and enough music to follow that, then looped enough times to reach the 3 min requirement. He had 2-3 "songs" in each part of the competition. To say that Saade won because of his great song is to lie blatantly, to say that he won due to his singing skills and/or talent is almost as bad a lie. He's pretty and they've given him a good show. Most importantly he's popular with the young girls who vote a lot.

@AmyLilies It's very simple. Legs are nice, but not very long. What is the solution? Short dress or skirt and shoes at very high heels. Ordinary shoes with such high heels are not suitable for dynamic performance. Was selected this option shoes simply do not accidentally fall off (and even in these shoes during a speech at the second chance Jenny stumbled ..). But maybe the average height of boots would look better ......
