The character Vicki Vale from Batman (1989) (played by Kim Basinger) was going to return in this film. She was featured in Sam Hamm's early draft of the film when it was intended to be a direct sequel of the previous one, but due to the fact that Tim Burton doesn't like making sequels, it was decided to exclude her. She's only mentioned during the conversation between Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle, where Bruce mentions that Vicki ended their relationship because ultimately she could not accept his dual life, as well as when Bruce reminds Alfred of him letting her into the Batcave in the first film.

The way in which Selina says "yeah" in response to Bruce discussing his duality is quite similar to the way in which Andrew says "yeah" in response to Allison discussing her parental issues in The Breakfast Club. In both instances, we see one character understanding on a very personal level what the other is saying. Selina understands Bruce in a way no other character can. #BatCat

You can’t kind of see how this movie influenced what would become the Nolan Batman trilogy because while it has a horror Tim Burton style, it’s very much dark & gritty compared to the goofy original 3 years prior. It would’ve been awesome if they made the 3rd one with Billie Dee Williams as Two Face & Robin Williams as the Riddler with a plot similar to The Dark Knight where Keaton’s Batman is pursuing the Riddler but sadly it never happened because Warner Bros decided to bring in Joel Schumacher to produce Batman Forever which was a masterpiece compared to Batman & Robin.

What innuendo? There is no innuendo. She wasn't under any circumstances prepared to sleep with him. She thought he was an 'ugly bird-man with fish breath', but she still believed he was a talent scout and he was going to make her a star. She was so confident about her 'talent' she didn't imagine for a moment that she would ever have to sleep with a man to get ahead.
