Flashing Lights (cover of Southern University)

One day, I was bored. I ran across SU playing Flashing Lights, and the guy in the video (apparently his name is Felix) motivated me so much to play this song.

It's not nearly as good as him, and I'm doing it on a 50 year old Czech helicon tuba with a Denis Wick 1L (no Loud MP's available here, and I sure as shit ain't gonna pay 1mil for one now!).
I'm living in Macedonia now. But damn, I'd love to take this horn outside and try to play with as much intensity and strength as Felix. I just couldn't allow myself to do so at home...poor neighbors :D

Thanks, I should try it again. I got a new mp and a better mic. I was playing on Denis Wick 1L. It's a great mp, but it's not made for this kind of playing. I've since picked up a Garibaldi, and that thing is POWERFUL (in the right hands).

Yeah, I cracked a few notes, but it was more of an experiment as to if I can actually manage similar sounds on a helicon that those guys can on a sousaphone. It CAN be done, but it takes more control, I guess. It's also because I play Roma music out here in Macedonia and these fellows want the BELLOWS!
