Not tanks, Rockets and soliders are the symbol of a Europe Union, where we ALL stand together. Look at the energy and the smiling faces of all that musicians and singers...its the music that is composed long ago from a genius musician! I´m so proud that Ludwig van Beethoven has been born in my country. Hopefully all the politicians, that never real try to go together as a UNION will understand this kind of music!!

Whether it is in Nurenberg, Spain, Minneapolis, Baku, Japan, China or anywhere else - this 'Song of Joy' in whichever country it is played - will indeed bring smiles to the audience present in each respective venue. It should be a song that unite the hearts of people from all walks of life instead of the strife, killing and hate that we see happening all over the world everyday.

I watch and listen to this video every day since I stumbled upon it. It has got to be the best music video ever!. It puts anything and everything put out by MTV and VH1 to shame. It also makes a profound cultural statement. It shows what happens when a majority Muslim country rejects the road to theocracy and chooses secularism instead. What a beautiful place and beautiful people!

These musicians and singers have really understood what "Ode to Joy" means: An die Freude. And they gave me the feeling that Joy (Freude) has a meaning. It is all tenderly and fully relaxt. The musicians, like the conductor, came just by and presented it all in perfect harmony. At the end, they even sing the lyrics by Schiller in German. This is overwhelming. -- Hans Rosenthal (A.H.R.D.) PS: What I like very much is the "violin's kissing" at 1:47 and the smiling of the two violinists... The conductor with his enthusiasm makes me happy. PPS: 7:05 is pure joy.
