It was a sad story of King and Sultan who fought each other for their own cause with dignity and honor, they are both exhausted and got tired, and the legacy remained that the time of great kings is over, and what we live in now is the time of coward presidents.

I have a disagreement with you about the Third Crusade being a draw. The Crusade won back cities from Acre to Jaffa, including some Castles and towns on the Jerusalem road from Jaffa. It also strengthened Tripoli which was about to fall. It did not regain Jerusalem, but it did regain a Christian State in the Levant. A shadow of its former self, but one that was defendable, rich and grew over time. That was Richard's goal once he realized that Jerusalem could be conquered but not kept. I really like your videos. The humor mixed in with the history makes your videos very easy to watch one after another. The Reconquista videos are great!!! Isabella. Isabella. Isabella!!

Richard pardoned the man (it was boy) who shot him - but after his death, Richards men took justice into their own hands and killed him.

Sad day for the empire - I'm surprised it was able to last for another 2 and a half centuries

@@FlashPointHxIt's interesting how we consider the "Roman Empire fell finally in 1453" because it really would never be an empire after 1204, but you can't deny the legitimacy of those who styled themselves emperor as true Romans. Facinating how power and legitamcy are in the eye of the beholder. Still, the continued life is a testament to New Rome and the great walls that served it for so long. Great video btw.

@@rockstar450 You bring up a great point - after the fall in 1204 was it really an empire? What credence did the empire of Nicaea truly have.? Where they more justified as being the successors of Rome than those that would conquer the city afterwards?

All of which has nothing to do with the conquest of Constantinople. Meaning that the title of the whole series is misleading. Such is marketing. Oh, well.

Your work is commendable. But I would like you to listen to one thought of wisdom: first is that these people or crusaders or anyone are evidently human. They have done terrible crimes and massacres themselves. To keep a little bit of dignity and respect to the dead from any side is paramount. There is an old saying : Don’t say 100 Muslims or Christians are dead, say 200 human beings have died. I tell you this because you seem to quite young. And we do the same mistakes by elevating them too much. Your words take too much pride in these. Continue making such cool videos. 😀
