Love flats! The muslin flats are also our favorite kitchen towels. Someone shared recently that she started using origami fold with the diaper flipped over, so the continuous flat part is against Baby, and the folds are on the outside. Makes poo clean up easier!

I love me some flats! Our first born is 2 months old and he has been wearing flats at night since he was born. He sleeps for long periods of time so we leave it on for like 8-9 hours, it’s perfect. I’m so glad that while my fiancee was pregnant with our son I watched yours and Jay’s Nest’s videos about flats and how awesome they are, it got me interested and it was so worth it. I now have a nice load of flats (nb size right now) and i actually enjoy folding them, i use the origami fold. But i’m the designated mama when it comes to putting them on for bedtime, my fiancee refuses lol 🤷🏻‍♀️ we sure love them though!

I love flats, but with two in cloth, I don't have the time to fold during the week, so AIOs and pockets stuffed with prefolds are my jam.

Flats intimidated me with my last child so I stuck with prefolds and pocket diapers. This time around (I’m due in January) I’m looking into flats more, just to try it out and have more options.

Yess!! I love flats too but my husbands main reason for not being a fan is when there’s a poopy situation and the flat was folded around Grace he hates cleaning them 🤣

My husband also hates having any kind of flaps or folds when there's a poo diaper and I agree. 😆

I have an old school washer and just starting out with cloth. I can NOT seem to get the bamboo/microfiber inserts that I am using with my pockets clean…they just keep smelling of poo even after several washes. I am DEFINITELY considering trying flats specifically for the ease of washing and drying 😅 my LO is almost 4 months old and I think cloth is so cute on him 🥰

I wish I could help with the inserts, but I've always tried to avoid microfiber, I don't have first hand experience with the issue. But make sure you're using the correct amount of detergent, you don't need to use 2-3x times the normal amount like some people out here recommend! Detergent buildup will make it hard to get fabric clean. I use the same amount as I would for regular laundry. Medium size load of cloth diapers or regular clothes get the same amount that the bottle tells you to use. Here's my latest laundry tips video in case it helps: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXiZamimd8dqiJo
