Thank you for visiting the Choicemas "STOP THE CLOCK" Channel. I create content with hopes to inspire, motivate, educate, empower, and help others. A majority of my videos are Educational videos teaching the ins and outs of Safety and Securement, as well as the excitement of driving a 18 Wheeler Semi-Truck throughout the country. In addition, I have some inspirational, motivational commentary that I feel can help others. Recently I've opened up my page to Vlogs and Roadtrips with my wife and I that carry some humor and interest. I hope you can find videos you like, and if you do... give us a thumbs up and hit the subscribe button, as we sincerely appreciate the support and the amazing feedback we've received throughout the years. I started this channel knowing nothing at all and have come a very long way, and the journey has all been worth it. Many thanks to you all, God bless. -Choicemas

These parachute tarps are 1/2 the weight of a vinyl tarp. 8 ft. drops are lighter than 4 ft. drop steel tarps. Enjoy, like, and subscribe. Thanks in advance for watching.

I have 2 sources. The first are friends of mine who produce beats and allow me to use them. The second is an online source that has a monthly fee. The site is ES or Epedemic Sound. There is another way that I am yet to source and that is the KZbin Music Gallery which allows the creator to use copyrighted or licensed music via your KZbin creator studio. Hope that helps. God bless. 🙏🏼💯

Don't know when you're going to see this but I have a question about your ratchet placement on that front part of the load it looks as if your ratchets the first two are close to your drive tires.
@Bert2368
@Bert2368 3 жыл бұрын
Pretty much what I was taught. If a long haul, I'd have put 1 ratchet strap OVER very front of REAR tarp before throwing front tarpjust to be sure it couldn't scoop in air if the front tarp gets loose enough to let air in. Need to use a plastic corner proector or carpet scrap at top edge of load under that "insurance" strap to protect your tarp if using a strap over a tarp like that. A lot of hours of my life been spent this way- throw tarps, secure, drive, pull tarps, re roll. Repeat. Cruncy frozen tarps, sticky hot tarps, wet mouldy tarps. The tarp with a 30mph blizzard wind sneaking under it and picking me off the load, I got to learn parasailing in North Dakota! WHEEEE!!! Be safe, driver.
@choicemas
@choicemas 2 жыл бұрын
Sorry about the late response. Man you hit it on the head. “Flatbed Life” I do use that insurance strap time to time. Pretty much based on how I feel about the load and as you said, length of the trip. Sometimes I don’t. I’ve said it a dozen or more times. I actually like to tarp, it’s removing the tarps and folding them up that I’m not a fan of. Thanks for this comment and I am glad that I found it and took the time to read it. Appreciate your insight and positivity. Peace and God Bless driver.

I know this video is a year old but I’m 50 and new to flat bedding and the 8’ tarp my company gave me weights 135lbs. LOL!!! I’ve been lifting it but would like lighter tarps. Do you know what the 8’ parachute tarp weights, cost, where you got it and how long it last? Thanks for all the shared knowledge.
@choicemas
@choicemas 3 жыл бұрын
Brother I’m 47 and not far behind. 8 ft Parachute tarp weighs damn near less than a 4-6 foot drop steel tarp. They last as long as you take care of them and protect them from edges (like any other tarp). Not sure about the cost, and I’d suggest shopping around online to find the best quality and price. Anywhere I can help out... let me know. Stay blessed , stay safe... and stay fresh! 🙏

How often u tighten straps down
@choicemas
@choicemas 4 жыл бұрын
I usually get them as tight as they can be tightened at the shipper. To be safe, that is. When I do my load checks, if they need more tightening, I wish them down even more. Usually I can’t because I tighten them as much as I possibly can the first shot. It also depends on the product.

@choicemas
@choicemas 2 жыл бұрын
No it is not the end of the world. In my experience the height between the drive tires and you trailer is adequate enough to have a winch above it. I wouldn’t suggest placing a winch above you trailer tandems though.

Popeye Brew you’re welcome brother. “Happy” is an interesting word. I feel good about where I’m at. They take care of me. It’s also a more laid back version of Flatbedding where I’m at in the present. I accept that. I’m good with it. I choose Joy over happiness any day. I’m not the one that would connect “happy” and “company” in the same space. Your thoughts?
