It’s verses like this that put darko in my top 5 of all time. He managed to create his sound by combining gritty dark tones of dmx with the word play and flow of the greats like big pun or big L. And then he put that mfn sauce on it like the second comin of B.I.G. It’s more than just mimicry. He saw the unique elements that put each of those people in a lane of their own and then he combined and refined those elements into mfn compound D(arko). And a menace was born.
