Flathead Avalanche - Our Mission

Our mission is to help get you home safe.
Flathead Avalanche is a partnership between the Flathead National Forest Avalanche Center (FAC) and the Friends of the Flathead Avalanche Center (FOFAC), a 501c3 organization guided by a community board. FAC and FOFAC are united by our commitment to sharing information that reduces avalanche incidents and fatalities. We provide daily avalanche forecasting, education, and outreach in northwest Montana. Learn more at flatheadavalanche.org
