The painful thing is that many of them would have pretty sensible explanations, BUT, they'd either lack the skill to pull off what they're thinking (Fucking relatable) or they'd simply not understand how a particular mechanic or hero works. Like some people that play Lucio used to think his primary fire did the healing, and alotta people don't know that Reins shield doesn't block melee or firestrike. So they'd likely say things that make complete sense, but not in the context of what's happening

@@ethandonnelly1973 You forgot the part when they completely lack game sense/knowledge and are trying to do random shit, which is what happens 90% of the time. Like, that Rein would 100% say I was shielding my team and my bastion because they need protection at the choke.. problem is that isn't the choke, that's not the route you take with Rein and that's not how you shield properly, without even going in depth. Also, these players who "used to think" are functionally illiterates, either they don't care about learning/reading, never tried all (oh gosh, too many) heroes in shooting range or are just naturally dumb. There are tons of examples like in cards games when noobs say they did a play considering the opponent had one particular card that isn't on their priority line in the match-up or isn't even played in the meta list. So no, it's waaaaay worse, you downplay it a lot. Their explanation would be funny as hell because out of what they'd say, most would be plain wrong with a little spark of good intention. It's like saying you're avoiding an asteroid while randomly jumping on the street: yeah it can happen yeah it's understandable but "sense" doesn't work like that

When I was in bronze for some reason I didn't understand that shielding another Rein meant losing the 1 v 1. For some reason my brain just didn't get it. Then I made a friend in GM and he made a 1 v 1 custom game where he disabled his own shield and disabled firestrike for me and kept coming at me and killed me over and over again until I started asking why he had no shield and he kept saying "I don't need it, I will win this every time", without explaining anymore. He kept killing me until my brain was just like 💡💡💡💡💡💡 and then I realised what he was trying to teach me 😂 Rein is a melee hero and you can't block him. Shielding another Rein in a Rein 1 v 1 has 0% effect 😂😂😂😂 it was the best way anyone ever explained anything to me about OW haha

Ult economy is a thing that’s really confusing at lower ranks. There’s the fear to not be able to build another ult « in time » or that you will « waste » your ult. This is why you see people keep their ult for the whole game until their last push. A lot of people would want to keep them for « potg worthy » actions with at least 4 targets because it’s what they come to see as useful.

I've been mid plat hog main after climbing outta low silver (took a long time) few pointers here: the enemy rein is throwing (never swung on the second round....maybe coz of bastion..they lost the first point very easily in spite of bastion....bastion comp are frowned upon in lower elos but still implemented coz of desperation) our rein goes frequently afk pretty much indicates a lot of shit-talking in the team/all chat getting mercy resses is very easy amongst enemy as NO ONE FUCKING shoots the mercy PS: Today's my birthday !!!! Overly aggressive tanks are aggressive because that one time it worked and they got a 6K, it means auto-charging should be the way to win every fight and your team will automatically know when you're doing it and they will definitely be in a position to be able to heal the insane dmg you're about to absorb in that 1v6 fight. Dps: Get angry about not getting healed enough or given enough space to work. Pick genji and expect that every nano will be theirs because that's the only way the team will win a fight. Every time they have a bad round, stick it out on the hero they are playing shit at because meta is a better idea than just playing something useful to the team. Everybody must pick their heroes around your dps pick because it's meta and the pros do it. Healers: dmg boost priority over healing. dmg orb priority over healing. what is positioning. moira 'i have more elims than the dps, what are our dps doing'. Mercy has the biggest balls of any player always because they will bust a rez in the most insane spots during a fight where the others probably need healing to win more than the rez is required. ana will hit 1 in 7 shots and use nade on themselves only. (i've been guilty of a handful of these of course haha)

Overly aggressive tanks who charge blindly are the reason why people lose games lol, im a super aggro rein main and i legit climbed thru plat with ease into diamond and its legit just been a breeze, u just have to know how to play and when to play
