@@andreabenton7798 by "hostage" in this situation they mean that the two dps were actively delaying the end of the game, which basically "held the match hostage" and didnt allow for anyone to move onto other matches for 30mins, JUST because the dps willingly did nothing on defense. edit: like the match became a ping-pong/back-and-forth experience and was set up like that by the dps flats was pointing out :d

If you have 2 dps trying to draw out the game, the idea is to take the enemies dps and send them to spawncamp the trolls, and then everyone else plays a game without dps. Of course this requires basically the entire lobby to work together, but I believe in random strangers to also have a burning hatred for said trolls

I still think making reins ult doing some damage was one of the best changes they made. I’m totally fine with it not being enough to one shot enemies, but even 100 damage is enough to secure a vital pick. I’m really liking where he’s at in the game. The other day I pulled up barrier at spawn for my widow, let her get some shots in without pressure. Then I dived onto payload to get it rolling.

Having confidence is some weird secret drug in videogames. I remember when i used to play fortnite. I spent a lot of months being awful and mostly hiding to win games. Got my game hijacked by a Lucio/Sombra throw duo pretending to be randoms and just trolling the game. The Sombra was actually playing their role at least, Lucio has 800 healing after 2 rounds, had 1 kill and 19 deaths. that teleporting in spawn at cap is fun, when they cap if your in spawn it gives you the "switch spawn" option, but it doesn't switch you, it just rerolls your position in the spawn room, and if you spam it you just blink around, only happens on payload defense in my experience

At the end of overwatch 1 I was a low silver tank and a low gold support. Now I’m a low diamond tank and haven’t touched my support, but let me tell you. Even when you carry as tank in low roles, it’s so hard to climb with throwers and smurfs, it’s impossible. The only reason I got out is because I started playing with a great group. One who was honestly a Smurf but we play with him because we genuinely like handing out with him. We are so much fun together it’s a good time

It’s weird, there’s a few characters where doing the right thing will hold you back in lower ranks. Sombra/tracer for instance, your tank isn’t going to play too aggressive in low ranks because “where are the dps?!?!” And your distractions become useless

The key here is that the "right thing" changes depending on what your team is doing. You trying to toy with both of their supports while your team isn't pushing or engaged in a team fight isn't "the right thing". Their team will turn around and kill you and then your team is inevitably going to stagger in. If there are no plays to be made with dive characters...even if it's just at that portion of the map...swap off dive. That's the "right thing" to do. Swap back when it becomes useful again if you want. Sure at higher ranks, especially for dive characters, you'll find that more play options become available to you based on people generally being more engaged/active. It isn't your team's fault that you dove in and got burned though. Find the hole in your team's play and try to fill it with an appropriate dps character.

Old video, but happens to me a lot. 1 day I win 4 in a row, next day so many afk and troll I lose 4. Now, if I lose one I take a break so the people I queued earlier will likely not be in my game. It works
