Evening mate, I caught one of turbot you mentioned, best bet is to fish outside the toilets and the cafe next to the car park about 100yards to the right of your position in this video. I used sandeel wrapped in mackerel skin. All the best

Hello Rhys, that was a shore rockling although it has three beards, the actual Three bearded rockling is a much larger species and normally has quite mottled colours, good to get you boys back on the beach thankyou

Also try hordle beach near the new forest lots of small eyes and a decent chance of a turbot apparently in the summer

Also remember one of the best baits for a turbot is a sand eel, let it roll in the tide with plain lead, and you soon pic a few up

Poole harbour is on its last legs for ragwoom! Over digging and dragging has taken its toll ! At this rate ragworm will be more expensive than gold!!

Flounder caught in the river don't taste good. Catch em off the beach and they are fine.

Dabs all day long, small and sweet from the sea, too simple for most Chefs and need to be eaten ASAP. Flounder from a river always goes back, from the sea is the only chance of it being barely edible then only if it not spawny , a chef however will cover it in sauce and garlic and charge you 20 quid for what's really crab pot fish.
