Great effort bud. Long way to travel. Good little reconasance trip though, looked good for the summer. Must get myself over there. Thanks for sharing . Take care 😊

Your right about the mud. From the prom (where you were fishing) all the way north is thick, claggy mud. Need to keep of it. However, from the harbour entrance (to your left} and southwards, is all firm sand. This is the side for rays, flatties and hounds. Fish it from (or an hour before) low water, up to just before mid tide. Then move up to the prom to the spot you were fishing, for the same species. Not giving away any secrets here. It's common knowledge for us locals. Tight lines!

Have another go over from now onwards mate, deffo worth a shout for the rays. I’ve just been this week. Had 4 good thorn backs and a few dog fish. All caught at distance on fish baits. I’ll put the pics on one of the facebook pages when I get chance. Deffo have another crack at it though mate. Keep vids coming, they keep me sane when I stuck on house at times…👍

Thanks mate, I can't wait. I know the lads are out for smoothies. This weekend wish I could go but my holidays are just around the corner and saving the pennies. Well done on your fish mate

You’re right about the cold. I always feel coldest fishing in late February and March at the scragg end of the winter cod season. Hoping the flounder start showing on the North East coast soon but this cold weather seems to be dragging on and on.
