If she stays consistent this season she'll be the scond pick. The leagues needs more next-gen guard talent than it does rookie bigs.

I think she'd go number 3 to somewhere like Chicago if she declared next year. Flau'jae seems more around 6'0 or 5'11 and a half to me as well.
@daijourcalloway9985 күн бұрын
That would be amazing. Especially since Chicago also has the 10th pick so I think they trade up and grab aneesah morrow as well. Filling both needs and having the ultimate lsu reunion.

If the Sky picks Flau’Jae it’ll be the new Shaq and Kobe for the WNBA. They are both dynamic players that don’t get along according to Angel Reese. Maybe if they get over their differences they could win championships again together like they did at LSU🤷🏿🤷🏿🏆

Flau'jae got better speed than Paige, so I would probably take her over Paige. Paige's biggest weakness seems to be her lack of bulk to compete against shooting guards or speed vs the swift, shorter PGs. Paige might be more "system ready" to enter the WNBA, but the ceiling seems higher for Flau'jae since she has a better physical body and less injury-ridden. Paige is older too, so her needing to hit the weight room just to not be bodied by mostly every starting PG or SG will be a problem as well. Most SGs are literally the same height as her, but weigh something like 170 to 180 pounds (there's a few more even heavier) and PGs are typically around the 160 to 170 range if they're the same height as her, but most of the shorter 5'5 to 5'8 ones are around the listed 150 pounds that Paige seems to be. Caitlin was like 160 pounds through her senior year in college, but dropped to around 155 or so when she entered WNBA and had to bulk up to something closer to 160+ pounds. She didn't have the bully ball game early on against her matchups and players like Rae Burrell really gave her trouble until she bulked up and got some muscle again. I don't really see anything different happening for Paige or Flau'jae and it'll take them time to get that WNBA body. Paige just lacks that first step that would help her at least dribble drive defenders.

None of which you is stating is actually true. I am at least 6' and for the vast majority of my life, my weight was under 160 pounds and I never had any issues facing up against far heavier or taller players. Her issue is not WEIGHT but her durability. The FACTS are most guards be that shooting or Point aren't taller then the 5'6" to 5'11" range. Plus if any guard is using a screen, then her Height and or weight is not then even the issue. Also, most guards in the WNBA are SLOW.

Paige lacks all those things and was still a better player than Flau'jae as a skinny freshman? Damn

Nurse was like 6 foot 165 pounds Brown was 5'9 165 pounds Paige is listed at like 5'11 and 145 pounds or something like that. It makes her 20 to 30 pounds less than most starting shooting guards (especially ALL-WNBA ones) and if she was a PG, then she'd be slower than all those fast PGs on the list. She'd barely outclass even the shortest players in the league like Canada. I can't see her doing anything at her weight class.

@@decere_b3652 We're not talking about the one year Paige was healthy though. A lot can change over time. Paige isn't a freshman anymore--and no it doesn't mean she's a better player than she was back then either. Flau'jae is a better prospect than Paige: - Same height - More athletic - Younger - Faster - Probably stronger - Can create her own shot Paige might have experience relative to UCONN and college, but it doesn't amount to that much when they're outside of the Power 5 conferences and have had one of the easiest SOS of any major school in recent years, so they've rarely been tested in actual head to head matchups. It wouldn't really matter to her since Paige isn't facing any of her conference peers in the WNBA as maybe only one even made it to the WNBA and she's in Dallas.
@ABxx20113 күн бұрын
There isn't anything left for her to do in college, already won the championship, and she has her music career too, so if she's projected as a high pick I would be kind of surprised if she didn't come out.

If flau'jae goes in the draft we are getting a lsu reunion in Chicago. The lsu big 3 AR AM and big 4 will be in Chicago! I hope that happens. Also I miss angel and flau'jae together. They were amazing as a 1 2 punch i also don't think Chicago is bringing back Carter.

If she can get it all together in the WNBA she could possibly be a darkhorse candidate for the Olympic team in 2028 but Team USA would be guard heavy at that point with CC and Juju as well as many of the guards from the 2024 team coming back for 2028

You listed Flau'jae as probably 6'0, but Paige as 5'11 even tho she's listed as 6'0. Even that guy who trained her and Kiki this summer said Paige had grown was was maybe 6'1 (doubtful lol but idk). But def seems like Paige is taller than Flau'jae every time they stand next to each other - I wish heights were standardized cause there's too many opinions on an issue that should be clear cut 😂

@HunterCruse147 күн бұрын
Besides Paige, if we’re talking just athleticism then JJ Quinerly, Olivia Miles, Rori Harmon and Aziaha James. If you add in versatility it depends how you quantify what versatility is. Miles is probably the answer despite being a bad shooter from 3

Some of your takes was Okk but I don’t think you see the upside in Flaujae go watch in highschool she was a great passer I think it just the coach system it to tight not a lot movement my grade for her 70 to 75 I think she can over take pagie at number one who has history of injuries and Flaujae is good on the ball I think once again the offense doesn’t allow that to show but hey if you think she just some Allstar whatever she can’t be like juju or Paige because she is in old school system that highlights the post and no movement
