We love Simone. To death! But it's so clear that the stars of this world championships are the Brazilians and it's been so refreshing to watch! America is excellent in world sport. We win quite a bit. Watching these other countries experience success on the world stage for the 1st time will never get old to me. Paris is gonna be a BLAST.

@justincartwright... well i don't know bout lovein simone to death; she's ahrite. albeit i'm an american, i'm on the brazilian team. i would love to live in that country if it were not as dangerous as it is; well in the big cities. i hope one of these girls win over simone biles. someone else from somewhere else deserves to win. i hope it is brazil. it would do their country proud.

@@AbleInTruth the best gymnast at a competition is the one who deserves to win. This is a sport not charity. Simone is strong but she is defeat-able. Well we’ve only seen her be defeated when she messes up….

im happy for the athletes from brazil. i love the culture and the people. note: these girls come from extremely poor families in an extremely poor country. the fact that they can get to where they are is profoundly significant. it is not always, just about Simone Biles. let these aspiring, beautiful, women have their wins! they are deserving! 👏

Yes, there are poor families here, but saying that Brazil is an extremely poor country is a lie. So much so that the girls train in an elite center, one of the best in the world in terms of technology. There is a lot of hard work here, but still, we are one of the richest countries in the world, we constantly fight for this income to be shared equally

NIGHTMARE! the level of poor education in Baja, Fortaleza, Recife, Rio, Natal, Belo Horizonte, Sao Paulo, in the South...criminal, criminal, criminal! the average income in brazil is less than USD$7K.

Ela tinha a ter uma dança melhor pra isso, se ela tivesse teria ganhado com certeza, mas não houve perspicácia da mãe/ coreógrafo de fazer algo q fizesse sentido e casasse com a música (como a maioria dos solos)
