Flavor Flav on being USA Water Polo's new hype man

Legendary rapper Flavor Flav is officially the new hype man for the USA Water Polo women's and men's national teams. He signed a 5-year sponsorship deal and is making a financial contribution to the women's Olympic team. His role includes multiple appearances annually at USA Water Polo events and exclusive social media collaborations. Flavor Flav and Maggie Steffens, U.S. women's water polo captain, join "CBS Mornings" to talk about their collaboration.

Love to see it. It’s crazy that only pros are making any money and only sometimes do the wealthiest (NBA players) even take it seriously. USA needs to pay these Olympians! Even if not everyone if you previously won a medal or won a medal at your sports world championships you definitely should get paid. I say celebrities and pro athletes (especially pro athletes) should sponsor the,. NBA players are multi-millionaires meet these Olympians who get so excited to take pics with them during opening ceremonies they definitely should take it upon themselves to donate some money and have each one adopt a team that gets no hype (everyone outside of track, swimming and gymnastics) and even sponsor individual swimming, track and gymnastic athletes who either are working multiple jobs or for gymnasts their parents are spending a lot of money. I love Flav’s swag, but the clock gotta get bigger for the games! Wtg on Flav for doing something more people should do: supporting our athletes. You can do that with money, but even if you don’t have the means, you can donate time - there are ways to volunteer at fundraising events, training clubs, at the games, etc. Even spreading word online helps these athletes.
