Interesting..I thank God that she gave her life to Christ again..and may God deliver my generation from wicked relatives that DELAY good things in the name of tradition, in Jesus Name

I'm not igbo but I love how they're shining the light on serous issues like this within the Afro community and the exposure of raw African traditions. I would rather read subtitles in English and listen to dialogue in the original language. I really think this is the step Africa needs to take so people can have more confidence.

I love this message , I call it message because it’s actually a moral and encouraging message to our people (kinsmen ) . Meanwhile I’m from Imo state but I have to say that it’s not all places or families in Imo state does this . As for me, I had always been saying to my people including the women of our community , it’s not gainful to inflate bride 👰 price , what would you gain or eat to satisfaction from bride price? Well, mine is gonna be very soon and God knows that I won’t allow them do this shit on my day . Whatever he is able to bring My family and I will welcome it . I don’t care 🤷♀️ what the kinsmen and women want. They didn’t even know how much was my tuition till I graduated . God bless Flavour #Ijele

It reminds me of when my sister was getting married 3 years ago. For those who don't understand, this is a typical traditional marriage (wedding) scene in the East, and I can tell you that it spot on. The groom is from Anambra (East Nigeria) while the bride is from Imo (also East Nigeria). However, both states have a history of disagreement, especially in marriage. I really don't know the origin of it (i will like to know). In this video, the bride's family presented an exorbitant price list to the groom's family as a prerequisite for marrying their daughter which led to a serious argument. Even the friends of the groom and bride went afterwards to fan the flames of the discord. Nonetheless, the couple talked between themselves and probably related to the families of their intention to be married. In the end, as always, both families decided to put their differences aside for their children to get married. Igbo culture is fascinating and it is nice to see it depicted here. Omenala ndi Igbo amaka! Long live Igbo!

From history, Anambra and Imo disagree?? Which history? Anambra and Imo state are man made. Just in the 1970s!!!! It used to be just Igbos before the division.

In terms of bride price, in Anambra is relatively cheaper than in imo state. That's the major difference.

This is a very vital information portrayed in this musical video. The tradition in most part of Imo state, Nigeria, placing high Bride Price on their daughters is a tradition begging for review. It is marriage not business transaction. As much as some have what it takes, there are many who wouldn't. A lot of old single ladies operating beer parlour businesses, sugar mommies, call girls, L don't think it is their choice to engage in such businesses rather being responsible wives and career women.

i really appreciate this production, this is the exact reason i broke up with my ex, the list was alarming and my family members refused to agree with the girls family because of the list, after all my plea, nobody agreed to follow me to see the girls family again... so we just have to end the relationship there..... Thank you so much Mr Flavour for bringing this issue up, and i hope Imo State and every other igbo's that practice such act to desist from it......Thanks

Now watching this, I can see how you guys in Igbo lands put high tag prices on your girls 😅😅😅It's funny as a script but come to real life it's so sad. Your girls are human not a goat for sale. Watch out for the price so they can get married to their beloved men. The last point, both should get married and then keep up with heartwarming and insightful videos like this. 😍😍Thank you and much love🥰
