Heartbreaking and Heartwarming, Episode 5 Helping the lovely Jim.. Buckle up as it's an emotional rollercoaster from the start. Never did I expect the channel and our community to have this impact, The blessings have got bigger and bigger.. and we aren't stopping here!

She has dementia now, but she is lucky to have carers and friendly neighbours. Jim reminds me so much of my 95 year old father who passed away last year. I love seeing him help out any way he can. Seeing him laugh and bring out all that food warms my heart. I know two things about this... taking established vegetation out of the ground is back-breaking, having just removed several bushes myself. Letting Jim help, however he can, is supremely important. I cared for my father for decades, he lived independently until 91 and cancer took his mobility. Jim reminds me so much of him, proud and wonderful, but having a hard time letting others help. You've handled him with grace and given him dignity... good work! So enjoy your channel you are all so fun and amazing. Thank you.

Yes and it is also very kind of Jim to let us all see a little bit of his life and world. It can be quite difficult when a wife is very ill. My father had a similar issue in a way as my mother would not let anyone inside the house to repaint it so he had to wait until she was no longer with us and then have new windows, house painted inside etc (although very sadly in his case within 2 years he was struck with dementia... old age can be pretty nasty).

I just have to add. Look at Jim’s garden guys. This was a family home. A family that worked hard. Paid taxes and spent money to make a special place for their children. Jim was clearly a guys who could build and make things and he did his part. His taxes supported others. Let’s support him back. So many of our elderly in the UK have given for decades and are now forced to sell their homes and use their har earned pensions to pay for care. It’s been said already but it’s worth repeating. Reach out to your Neighbors. Help them with odd jobs. They build this country and deserve more that we are giving.

I don't know if Jim will ever see this, but I just want him to know how much respect I have for him. He takes care of his wife & is always thinking of her, he takes care of you lads making sure you have food, water, tea, etc., he gets out there with you & helps as much as he can......all while battling cancer. This man is a true hero in every sense of the word. God bless you all for helping him out. You are all beasts for getting this job done. Truly, angels in disguise.
