@@americanarbitrage A deal is a deal. The responsibility is on the buyer to know 100% the terms of the deal BEFORE paying. The seller does not have to refund u for your mistake (albeit an honest one). And choosing not to refund u for your mistake is their prerogative and how they choose to run their business. U did not take responsibility for your mistake and verbally twisted their arm into getting a refund. Could the seller have provided better all-around customer service? Yes…but fundamentally they were not in the wrong, whereas u were.

Then the seller confirmed 3 more times it was for ALL coins by saying "20 bucks for the whole lot... all these ,the presets,EVERYTHING... the whole lot". At no point did he say no those which the buyer pointed. He didn't say some coins were excluded, he said the opposite, "everything". So he tried to finesse the buyer. His reluctance to give refunds is the evidence. When he decided a few bucks of profit were not worth the risk for escalation he gave him a refund.

If you rewind and rewatch, the seller was very clear on what he was selling for the price stated. I don't believe he was in the wrong at all. He could have been more polite and returned the money without hesitation, OR he could not have returned the money at all. You suggested he shouldn't do business like that and he should of just been cool and gave the money back. I think you should of just been cool and followed thru with the purchase. After all, he's selling to profit and you're buying to profit.

First, last, and always: Caveat Emptor. Write it down on your hand or inside your wallet if you have to. Flea market etiquette is once the seller has your money, that's the end of the deal. Unfortunately the swarms of lame flippers and lisping content creators have taken what was once a very, very, fun kind of pirate capitalism and made it into what we just saw. Lame. He had your money. You got coins. That's the end of the deal. If you were not happy, felt like you overpaid, don't shop his table next time. Tell your boys not to shop his table. That's a reasonable response. But remember: There's no crying in baseball and no refunds at a flea market.

That's not how contracts work. You agree to the term and it's final. If you don't understand the terms and still make the contract finalized by paying, you can't just decide to undo a contract that has been done. If the seller misrepresented something, then they would be liable. The buyer started a confrontation after he realized his mistake and started blaming the seller "if this is how you want to do business", as if the seller was the one in the wrong. The buyer should've explained what he didn't understand and politely ask for a refund, not start throwing a tantrum and personally attacking the seller for being unethical, when the buyer is the one being unethical.

So I think it's totally understandable if you back out, as he said the original deal, even if it was you thought it was, was not correct. Good on you for posting it too. I think you were in the right. The coins in the red case were part of what you looked at prior to him saying 'all the coins for $20', he clearly witnessed you examining that case. He only excluded that after you paid. Good for you for standing up for yourself.

You admitted you were distracted. It was clear to me in the video what you were purchasing. I have to back him on that one. You can’t do crumb stuff like that at a flea market. Once you had someone the money that’s it deal is done. Just the way it is. I would stay away from flea markets from now on if I were you if you don’t know how to act and are going to be distracted by nonsense while you are negotiating a deal. I was very surprised you asked for the money back. It’s not a Walmart lol it’s a flea market. All sales are final you shoulda took the hit. Just my opinion.

First of all, I love your content but respectfully you handled this in the wrong way. He clearly pointed out what was included in the lot but you just ignored him. And then you went on to tell him “You want me the buy the stuff I don’t want?” (In which if you paid attention, you’ll realize you fairly agreed to the purchase) Then have the audacity to follow up with “Whether you said it or not, I didn’t understand” (completely your fault; not his) and then to top it all off you gathered additional items on the left of the table that you didn’t even show interest in on this video claiming that they were also included in the sale. Cmon man, don’t make this dude look like an asshole for views.

I dont think anyone was necessarily wrong here. I think like what a lot of ppl have said was the communication was off. Even as a viewer, I couldnt understand what was apart of the lot. Idk coins but just seemed like it should been a lot more clear esp with how many items are on the table. So I wouldnt throw blame at Cary or the seller here. However when it came to the refund, I do think as a seller, you should be willing to offer a refund. Cary clearly was not trying to pull a fast one or anything and just didn't understand the deal. Its not like Cary took the coins home and opened them and etc. So a refund should be really easy. To kinda be stingy over $20 and make a customer unsatisfied is a poor business. Im happy he ultimately gave the refund.
