I found a great deal on five cast iron frying pans for 40 bucks, and they were vintage 1920-1930's Very clean, No rust, very very nice seasoning on them. Ranged from 8 inch up to 14 inch . Beautiful vintage pans.. All i had to do was wash them, oil them and hang them up in my cabin on the mountain..😊

I think this was specifically a men’s size 7 but I do wish shoes just had common sizes. It makes no sense why a men’s 7 and women’s 7 are different .

Flea markets have changed since I was little (80s). They used to be 90% collectibles & garage sale type stuff and 10% new stuff. Now you're lucky to find 10% garage sale stuff or anything old and Collectible. It's mostly laundry detergent, city trends clothes and new sock sellers at my local market😢

I don’t know if it is because of resellers but prices went up at Goodwill, Salvation Army, Flea Markets and Thrift Stores. So when I go wanting to buy something for myself they ask for too much money.

90% yard sales are junk, but I hit a huge multi family sale in one building. It was so cool, I might go back if I can get away. You have the best luck for shoes, but for personal use. As I've stated, most of our Goodwill is $19.99 and the bins are really ruined except for a few the shoe sellers get in a few seconds.

I think it would be fun if you both start to collect something. Something you can look for on your thrifting adventures. Like expensive golf clubs or rare frisbees or something you can trade up to get. Like the thrift house but for something you want to keep (at least for a while.)

Please, PLEASE excuse my ignorance with this question. Josh and Hayley, this is coming from a place of pure love and if it's not something you would want discussed in your comments, no problem. Delete or I will. So, my question is for Spanish speaking or any other language (than English), I notice how Josh attempts to speak or ask questions in Spanish with his Spanish speaking vendors. I tend to do the same when I'm engaging with Spanish speaking folks. I'm not very good either (NO OFFENSE Josh! It's truly heart-warming to me). What do native Spanish speaking people think of this? Is it heart-warming and funny? Cute? Nice that we're making an attempt? Or totally offensive and pandering?? I've always wanted to know this but figured the subscribers of this channel are generally good-hearted people and maybe someone would be willing to share their opinion in a kind way.

I find it very kind for people to try I always respond in Spanish and it’s always leads to a very small and simple Spanish conversation. I keep going until the person says “oh that’s as far as I get in my Spanish.”

Regarding the garage sale with the signs but nothing outside…that seems like someone got pranked. We have a neighbor who has a sale every weekend and a woman on the street didn’t like the added traffic and reported him so mysteriously signs appeared in her yard and postings were put on Craigslist and FB garage sale pages in retaliation.

Knocking on the door and ringing the door bell for a yard sale? Pretty bold lol. I’d assume they had an emergency or something. I wouldn’t be so bold or rude as to demand a sale because they made a sign. That’s kind of crazy and I definitely wouldn’t have opened the door either if I was running behind for whatever reason but emergencies happen and plans change. Yes I’d be pissed. It’s Inconvenient to get up so early for the sale and to show up to work, but no work to be found, but no one is owed anything so knocking on a private residence for a yard sale is nuts to me. I saw people around my area waiting INCHES from a garage door for a sale that wasn’t set to be open yet and it was so rude to me. That’s a persons private home. You don’t know who could have answered too knocking and ringing the doorbell. Everyone’s nuts these days.

Hey Josh, my buddy, I just wanted to drop a little wisdom on u for future reference that I feel could be very useful and is something I wish I had learned sooner... As someone who Spanish is my 2nd language and who is pretty self taught, I had to learn from experience and repetition. I'm actually Hispanic and learned the language at around 17 or 18 years old because of my husband's family so I tend to fit in ok and this type of thing is expected more from someone like me than say a ginger kinda guy like u, I feel that u tend to get a pass because they know u are trying ur best lol. Anyway, what I'm talking about is how u respond when ur called or when u think someone is talking to u. When I say called, I mean, like if Hayley were to call out, "Hey Josh!" We, English speakers tend to use the word "What" as a response for these situations in a way that isn't offensive or harsh or rude however, in the Spanish language I would say that 99% of the time u DO NOT want to respond this way because it doesn't translate well. Idk why, and it was one of those things that was a bit difficult for me to understand, but I've learned. Where I'm from is on the west coast and much closer to Mexico and Mexicans than anywhere else, so I learned to use a response that's pronounced mon-day? Pretty much like Monday, but put a little more O into the mon. It's an easy, respectful way to respond and has never given me trouble. Saying que?!? However, it has gotten me into troublesome situations. U could also use perdon? And probably others I can't think of right now. Sorry this was so long. I just really wanted to share because it sux to have ppl think ur rude when u definitely are not!! Lol. Luv u guys!✌️💜
