You guys make me want to go thrifting, but I have limited funds; I love going anyway. I could afford that fireplace. I have always wanted one in our new 12 year old house. We built it and paid for it as it was being built. It took 5 years to complete, but it is paid for. My husband drew out the design. He passed away five years ago. It has been so difficult without him. I miss him so much.

I started collecting in college in the 70s. Yes, we looked up items in books, and they were fun yet always out of date. My dad passed this year, but one of my favorite memories are of going to thrift stores and flea markets with him. You and Debbie are so cute. This was fun!

The books you were looking at remind me of when I was first married 34 years ago. Our first apartment ( our home still is ) was decorated with handy downs and a few special thrift store items .Several that I still have and use today.☺️ I used to scour the used bookstore for decorating books love your channel thank you sharing

Tell you my nutcracker story. My mother doesn't like nutcrackers either. My youngest son loved the when he was around 5 32:33 32:38 his grandmother decided to get him one. She got him a hunter one. The hunter was carrying a rifle and a beer. My mom didn't notice the beer. My son is now 20 and we still laugh about it. He loves teasing her.

If I lived close to you I would buy that chicken with the light in it. Take the light out and put flowers in it for the summer for the winner. Whatever cause I have farm things in my kitchen. I loved that grapevine rooster at Salvation Army and I have a couple pieces of that French Provincial furniture, a 6 drawer dresser and a small China hutch. I have 2 of those green boxwood wreaths, I put them out in the Spring. If I lived there I would be there every week! I thrift Starbucks mugs, it’s such a great deal compared to regular price. Y’all are my kinda girls cause y’all shop until you literally are about to drop! 😂 Debbie’s console table with those urn legs and that white tree in the bath with the cookie cutters is amazing!
