Love your podcasts ladies. You have a wonderful, easy camaraderie with each other. So eager to meet you all in person at the fiber festival….. since I’ve watched every F&H episode, I feel like I know you all! But must admit, I do miss the book club section. I get it that it’s more of a winter activity, but hope you aren’t permanently shelving them. Always interesting to hear what others are reading and enjoying!

Simone, I love the colors of the Hozho Cowl colors! It looks so rich. I would make a whole sweater or blanket like that and wrap myself in it. Yum! You ladies have encouraged me to buy some fleece and now I’m looking for a spinning wheel. What?! My husband may be calling….

Oh those blue skies! Those clouds! "The extraordinary resides in the ordinary", so someone wrote, and Ken did a great job of capturing the beauty of an ordinary day in PEI. Of course, I loved your woolcast from beginning to end. Let me just point out how much I admire how all three of you work together so well on camera, but it is the work off camera that we do not see but can only imagine that is truly admirable (together with Ken). There must be a constant frenzy of activity that is heightened even more now as you all are getting closer to the PEI Festival. Wow, September's blocks are just gorgeous!! I learn something new every time a new block is presented. I am galvanized by the flora and fauna of the island, and I love the information that accompanies each block. To translate what most represents the island is no easy task, but you have managed to bring out the best every single month. It's no wonder the blocks are such a success! I had a good laugh when Betsy pulled out her creatures, especially the large grey octopus that took over Kim's desk! I loved Simone's projects, from the sweater she is knitting to the fibers she is spinning. The cowl is just gorgeous. Kim, I am sorry you have not been feeling well. Please get the necessary rest. Sometimes we just need a break from knitting and just focus on getting better. My best wishes to you. Thank you again for putting together such a lovely podcast. To watch three smiling ladies share what they love warms the heart. Thank you. 💖💖

I’m planning on making my Snowflower into a wrap. Keeping it four patter repeats wide, and either adding a stitch each side (slipping on the right side) or adding 5 stitches to steek, and add a border. I have another shawl I must finish first and hopefully by then others who are doing the same, or Rowan, will have more insight into the best way to proceed. I do have another ball in one of the colours that will work for the border.

I was told not to get my dog to give a paw. We took therapy classes and you don’t want a dog pawing an older person. Our skin is very fragile and the dog could scratch and hurt the person. Get your dog to ‘Touch”. That means touch his nose to your hand. Susan Garrett is a great trainer on uTube. Our first dog was not allowed upstairs in the bedrooms. Our second dog was allowed upstairs and eventually made it on the bed for a little while before we went to sleep. Our second dog gets on the bed until we turn out the light. Then around 7:30 am she nudges my arm asking for permission to get on the bed.

Thank you for another wonderful Woolcast. Loved the MODE slideshow...am in awe of Betsy's dyeing prowess, the clever & creative blanket squares, the cute as a snail octopuses, and vaulting blue skies. So glad you are on the mend, Kim. I'm not one to power through illness with knitting. My brain fog is so thick I screw up garter stitch. Much love to Vincent! Probably, he has deeper talents than the traditional tricks. ❤

22 degrees? That's chilly!!! I keep ours at 77 or 78 F and I can feel if it's a degree or 2 under that! Betsy, how about "Uncle Kracken" for your new couch pet? (It made me think of the singer.) Simone, your plied yarn is gorgeous! But I'm still not going to take up spinning. Kim, I hope you get better soon! Crochet is lower-maintenance. You can stop anywhere with impunity. So it's good for when you're not QUITE sure you want to be doing anything, but you kind of want to be doing something.

Very nice garments from Rowan! Alpaca has no memory that’s why if not spun correctly or/and has structure in the garment it stretches. I had alpacas and have a vest from them since years and it beautifully stays in place.

Kim, I totally understand not knitting when you don't feel well. I had foot surgery on June 25. I had to be totally non-weightbearing for 5 weeks. People commented that I would crank out a lot of knitting. In reality I hardly knit a thing. My brain was just in a fog and I couldn't do more than a couple rows at a time. It was a lot of KZbin watching and not much else.

Am I right to think that pure Alpaca is for smaller persons, since the weight of a big garnment would pull more on this delicate fiber ? Betsy, you giant octopus is quite a big deal, wow ! Learning French on top of that !!! Will you bring it to the festival ? Lovely sky gazing thanks to Ken ! Special request for sheep harmony next time, maybe ...

I find it ironic that you are asking people to be kind when you, yourself, are being unkind with your opinion. Perhaps a little food for thought.

Hi Kathleen - Kim here. We heard you the first time you made this same comment 5 months ago. I am not sure what you are trying to achieve? We work really hard in this space to be kind, caring and welcoming. Do you imagine I would not have Simone on the podcast over what amounts to a piece of jewelry? Or do you imagine that I would ask her to remove it? Simone is a generous, kind, creative and vital part of our team. She chooses to wear a nose ring and that is just fine by me. You are certainly welcome to your own opinions, and we understand (loud and clear) that you do not want to look at a nose ring. Unfortunately, I guess you will need to refrain from watching our podcast. I would ask you to not comment again. As I said, we heard you the first time.
