I don't get it. I don't understand what people hear with this music. I try but fail to grasp it. I think this album is boring, like I've thought their previous two are boring. The vocals do not match with the music. Every song sounds like a bad My Morning Jacket b-side from 1999. I'm sorry. It's cool to see Morgan from Blood Brothers finding success, tho.
@cameronpeterson67347 жыл бұрын
Brandon Henderson There's no problem with not liking it. I mean a band like The Chainsmokers is immensely popular and I don't understand why people think they are amazing but I just simply don't listen to them. Nobody is forcing you to listen to something you don't like

I need these guys on Tiny Desk Concert. They're really nice live
@johniliyn877 жыл бұрын
why.... this is much better than a shitty concert around a desk.....
@HypnoticHollywood4 жыл бұрын
@@johniliyn87 Because a Tiny Desk Concert would introduce them to a much deserved bigger audience .
@donaldnelson83472 жыл бұрын
@@johniliyn87 Tiny desks are so intimate. The sound quality in an arena/outdoor venue is vague and washy, where a lot of the tonal quality this band spent thousands of hours honing in on, get's dissipated.

Kind of take for granted how great of a singer Robin is... it's amazing to see such an angelic voice on a mere mortal.
@PoppyIsNutz2 жыл бұрын
Couldn’t agree with you more. His voice is so so powerful and emotive to me. It takes me somewhere else. I honestly don’t have the words but I think he is one of the most underrated folk singers of this era.

Saw them live in Atlanta, 2011. Sold out show. It's great to see them back, even without Tillman. Tillman WAS really awesome at that show. They've moved on though and I'm so happy to hear this new music.

"The insular tone is apparent from the album’s opening seconds, as Pecknold sings, “I am all that I need” in a hushed whisper. Rather than an empowering statement, it’s as if he’s trying to convince himself. When he repeats the line moments later, the band crashes in, literally cutting him off. "On Crack-Up, he’s attempting to relearn everything he once knew."-Consequence of Sound

I feel like you can really see Jonny's influence on how a ton of the newer generation's band's guitarists/multi-instrumentalists and even bassists keep their hair and carry themselves while performing. It's a very humble, down to business look while playing, and hiding some of the face with hair as if to say the sounds I'm making are what's important, not the person behind them.

The reason why I love Fleet Foxes is because they remain a part of a select few that don't poison their raw sound with digitizing and auto tune. This among countless other reasons is why fleet foxes will be my favorite band for the rest of my days.
