The woman all the way on the left is Stevie Nicks, she sings the song and it's written by her and directed to the guy with the guitar, who is Lindsey Buckingham. They had been in a relationship,but during the recording and writing of the album they were fighting and breaking up. Also breaking up at the same time were Christine , in the red ,and John Mcvie, on the right. Drummer Mick Fleetwood was also in the middle of a divorce during all this.What came out of this is probably the most intimate, real, not realistic but REAL, album ever released and possibly ever will be. People have written songs about ex's but how many have written a song towards an ex that was still in the band? It wasn't one sided because Lindsey hit back at Stevie with a few songs on the album. He also performed on the songs that were directed to him, and she did the same on his songs directed at her and they both admitted to not really wanting to help the other person with their song. This album so far has sold 45 million copies.

The one that hits me hardest is Christine McVie's "You Make Loving Fun," a song she wrote about her side-piece that her soon-to-be-ex husband played bass on. Jesus Christ, that's raw.

I am 63, and was a sophomore in college when the Rumours album came out. That was over 40 years ago. I still love hearing this song. I think the magic of Fleetwood Mac, is that you never get tired of them. The smooth beat and great lyrics dont hit you like a sledge hammer, but rather leave you wanting more. I just love that young people like you are discovering this great band.

Fleetwood Mac had gone through some more changes by the time this song came out. The band members were: Mick Fleetwood, Christie and John McVie, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. It was a miracle that Rumours got made. Listen to the whole album. It is a reflection of their dysfunctional relationships and the band almost broke up, but somehow managed to stay together. Dreams was Stevie’s response to Lindsey’s Go Your Own Way. Rumours is an incredible album and should be In everyone’s music library. A rare gem that features great songs from beginning to end.

Other great Fleetwood Mac songs written by and sung by Stevie Nicks include Landslide, Rhiannon and Sara. The song Crystal written by her but sung for Fleetwood Mac by Christine McVie is also very beautiful.

Had the pleasure of seeing Stevie Nicks inducted at Barclay Center. She was inducted 2x. With Fleetwood & Solo. Had the pleasure of seeing her 1 more time. 🙄 Unlike when she did her solo Album. The world was convinced Mac was over. But many decades of Mac to come. 😒 still.... 🐰 #ENRGYZRBunny
