If I hadn't discovered Lindsey (through this song coincidentally) I would've given up playing guitar. I was trying to learn guitar but hated using a pick. It never felt right and it never sounded right to my ears, but everyone says you have to use one. I wanted to play rock, but only wanted to play with my fingers. They respected each other as musicians and artists, but as a couple clashed hard and held no punches. This thing we see here is as genuine as it gets. I see them and I can tell they’re both hurting bad, and that right there is the spice of music and art as a whole: expressing their emotions through song, dark ad they may be.

Only the best sound even better live. Thin Lizzy was an epic live band. The studio albums don't do them justice at all. I was lucky enough to see them live once as a teenager before the drugs took Phil down. That show is still in my top ten and I have been to hundreds since that one. RIP brother.

I am a totally blind woman and I absolutely love this version of the song. The performance is incredible, and the emotion is, as we’ve all been talking about on this thread, very palpable and real and raw. It’s very interesting to hear you guys all talk about the visual aspects of what’s going on, like their body language and expressions. Things that I missing, not being able to see those things.
